    Abstract: A cutting chain for a hand-operated implement for cutting metal and mineral materials such as a stone cutter has central connecting links which are connected to one another by lateral connecting links. The central connecting links comprise first central connecting links which each have a drive tooth. The cutting chain has two central connecting links with drive teeth shaped differently to the drive teeth on the first central connecting links; or located a different distance from the leading drive teeth; or having no drive teeth. A hand-operated implement for cutting mineral materials has a drive motor which drives the cutting chain around a guide bar by a drive sprocket. The cutting chain is guided round part of the circumference of the drive sprocket and round a nose sprocket on the guide bar. The drive sprocket or nose sprocket have different first and second areas matched to the cutting chain.

    Abstract: A method of making a foldable dial card having openings and edges in registration using a flexographic press. The process includes the steps of feeding an elongated stiff web into the flexographic press and then printing an image on the web, which is followed by feeding the printed web between an interior cutting roller and a backing roller to cut the internal regions of the dial card in the web material. After cutting the internal regions around the interior of the dial card the dial card is then fed under an air nozzle which removes the severed interior portions of the dial card from the web. Next, the printed web with the cut internal regions is fed between a second pair of rollers, one an exterior die cutting roller and the other a back up roller with the back-up roller moving at a faster surface velocity than the surface velocity of the exterior die cutting roller. The exterior die cutting roller cuts the external regions around the dial card so that the dial card can be removed from the web.

    Abstract: An apparatus for punching a plurality of predetermined spaced mounting holes in a building roof panel support member includes an elongated housing having an oil sump therewithin, a hydraulic pump together with an electric motor for actuation thereof mounted on the housing, guide structure which can be opened and closed for temporarily mounting the housing upon a roof panel support member, an adjustable gauge pin mounted on the housing near one end thereof, the gauge pin being supported on a mount which is adjustable along both the length and the width of the housing, and a hydraulic punch adjustably mounted near the other end of the housing from the gauge pin for punching holes in the support member.The method of punching holes in a roof panel support member as disclosed herein is also part of this invention.

Registration holes are punched about the planar element, so that these may be readily stacked relative to each other, as required to form the surface to be constructed. Sprocket holes are also punched in the sheet material to advance the material along a processing path at which the various processing stations are located.

A punch is then assembled on the die post and passed through the template for forming the holes with a medial lug portion in various angular positions.
