Abstract: A paper cutting control device for ticket paper and ticket dispensing machine comprising the same, wherein the paper cutting control device for ticket paper comprises a driving motor (M), a first sensor (2), a cutter (3), a controller and a second sensor (4). The first sensor is located on an upstream of the cutter and used for detecting a spacing mark (B) between adjacent tickets of the ticket paper and sending a spacing mark arrival signal when the spacing mark is detected. The second sensor is located on a downstream of the cutter and used for detecting a front end of the ticket paper and sending a ticket arrival signal when the front end of the ticket paper is detected. A ticket dispensing machine has the paper cutting control device for ticket paper.

Abstract: A method for improved tuning of servo motors used to drive guillotine cutters on a high speed inserter machine. The tuning coefficient is continuously varied during the blade's cutting cycle. In a first step of the tuning process, a plurality of discrete positions in the blade cycle are selected for analysis of the optimal tuning coefficients. For these discrete positions, tuning coefficients are determined. After the tuning coefficients have been determined for the discrete locations in the blade cycle, the coefficients for the remainder of the blade cycle are determined through interpolation. In a preferred embodiment, linear interpolation is used. A digital filter then applies the measured and interpolated coefficients to the amplifier that controls the motor. In the preferred embodiment, the step of selecting the discrete positions includes selecting 90 degrees, 180 degrees, 270 degrees, and 360 degrees in a guillotine blade cycle.

Abstract: Method and machine for manufacturing grids from lead-based metal for use in storage batteries of the type wherein a casting is first performed of grid blanks the periphery of which is irregular and the size greater than that of the grid to be obtained, these blanks being thereafter cut out in an automatic press. In view to increase the rate of output of the press and to improve the quality of the grids, the press is supplied sequentially from a continuous grid-blank feeding conveyor and at least one final lateral centering of the grid blank is performed in the press by the combined action of two pusher members tapping on each side of the grid blank in a transverse direction passing substantially from the center of mass of the grid blank.
Abstract: A holder and cutter assembly for food stuffs in stick form, the assembly comprising a chamber for receiving a food stuff in stick form, a carrier disposed in the chamber and adapted to move lengthwise of the chamber in abutting relationship with the food stuff, means for biasing the carrier toward an opening in the chamber, stop means outside the opening to permit a portion of the food stuff stick to be exposed outside the chamber in response to the biasing means, and cutter means disposed adjacent the opening and operable to cuttingly engage the exposed portion of the food stuff stick to sever the exposed portion from the remainder of the food stuff stick, the stop means being adapted to release the severed portion.
Abstract: A control system for controlling operating steps of a press and/or transfer mechanism therefor in dependence upon the position of a drive shaft of a drive mechanism of the press. The system includes a coded pulse generator supplying coded pulses indicative of the position of the drive shaft to a decoder from which decoded pulses are supplied to a control pulse distributor to an amplifying unit and appropriate regulating member for regulation of the operating step. A monitoring unit is also provided for monitoring the operation of the control system.

Abstract: A stylus is mounted on a carriage which also supports a work plate adapted to be positioned beneath a punch. When the punch first strikes the work plate, the stylus is automatically retracted out of a hole in a template so as to free the carriage to shift forwardly in unison with the work plate as the punch continues through the plate.
