Abstract: A precision rapid dado tool utilizes a sled and a carrier in order to efficiently create dado joins of varying sizes with a table saw and regular blade. The sled is designed to slide on top of the saw. The carrier rests inside the sled and can slide left and right in the sled in order to allow the workpiece mounted therein to move left and right relative to the sled and the saw blade. A measuring gauge is used to set the width of the dado slot that will be cut into the workpiece. The tool streamlines the cutting of left and right cuts and then the carrier can slide left and right in the sled to remove the center material, and the slot on one workpiece is formed. After repeating on the second piece, the two slots can be joined and the dado is complete.

Abstract: A clamping mechanism for a food slicing machine having a product holder that is driven cyclically through a food slicing blade along an arcuate or linear path. The clamping mechanism is driven by the drive means that drives the product holder, thereby assuring the timing of the clamping during the cutting portion of the stroke. A drive rod extends from the drive means, which can be a driveshaft, and extends to a plate that is pivotably mounted to the product holder. The plate pushes plungers through the sidewall of the holder to seat against and clamp the food product against the sidewall of the holder.

Abstract: A tissue slicing device is comprised of parallel circular blades coaxially connected to a rotary shaft. The blades are separated by gaps. A guide member is supported by a hinge adjacent the blades. An adjustment screw is positioned behind the guide member to control the distance between the guide member and the blades. The device includes a tissue carrier which is comprised of a base member and parallel plates extending from a top side of the base member. The plates are spaced to correspond with the gaps between the blades. Holes in the plates are aligned to define a tissue chamber for receiving a tissue sample. When the tissue carrier is positioned on the guide member and the blades rotated to drive the tissue carrier along the guide member, the tissue chamber is driven into the blades so the tissue sample is simultaneously cut into a plurality of slices.

Abstract: In a method for cutting a loaf-shaped food, a loaf of the food is advanced toward a cutting device by means of a feed apparatus and the loaf is cut into slices, strips or cubes by means of said cutting device such that the loaf is fixed during the feed movement by means of a vacuum gripper that is advanced together with the loaf and a negative pressure is generated within an interior of a contact element of the vacuum gripper and acts upon a fixing region of the surface of the loaf in a suction region of the contact element; in order to avoid the risk of defects due to a vacuum loss and a loss of the fixing force, it is proposed that the suction region is divided into at least two separate partial suction regions and the interior of the contact element is accordingly divided into at least two partial interiors, wherein the partial suction regions respectively adjoin one another, are separated from by a contact line and form separate partial fixing regions.

Infeed and outfeed carriages are reciprocally movable along spaced apart tracks, and a transverse carriage is reciprocally moveable between the tracks.
