Abstract: A work piece guide assembly is for use with a table saw having a fence that defines an elongated slot. The work piece guide assembly includes a body having a mating component configured to be received in the elongated slot of the fence. A handle for manipulating the guide assembly is supported by the body. The work piece guide assembly includes an arm having a first end portion pivotably mounted in relation to the body and a second end portion defining a work piece contact surface. A roller is rotatably connected to the second end portion of the arm.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a printer convenient for maintaining a paper cutting device (500). The printer comprises a paper cutting device and a movable blade avoiding mechanism. The paper cutting device has a movable blade component (510) fixed on the upper cover (100) of the printer and a fixed blade (520) fixed on the body (200) of the printer, the movable blade avoiding mechanism has an avoiding cover (210) capable of turning upward and pivoted to the body of the printer, and a positioning member (240) and an elastic pressing member (230) which keep the avoiding cover in a predetermined position on the top of the fixed blade. The avoiding cover and the upper cover of the printer are respectively arranged at two sides of a printing paper conveying passage, with opposite turning directions, and the movable blade (511) of the movable blade component is located between the avoiding cover and the fixed blade.

Abstract: A table saw fence includes a clamping member at both the front and rear of the fence to provide substantial clamping power and accuracy. The fence includes an interior cavity housing a linkage mechanism that engages the front and rear clamps through the actuation of a single handle. Furthermore, the fence includes an opening leading to the interior cavity, thereby permitting the blade, riving knife, blade guard, and any other blade accessories to extend within the interior cavity when the fence is used in a blade cover configuration.
Abstract: A power saw that may be flexibly configured to perform multiple cutting functions is provided by attaching a saw assembly to a base assembly with an offset support that provides a clear path in line with the saw blade, thereby providing a miter saw, a table saw or a radial arm saw as desired by the user. In addition, a tilt mechanism is mounted at the top of the offset support to provide an “apparent” tilt axis near the top surface of the turntable, thereby eliminating an axle near the turntable top surface. Materials being cut by the saw assembly are guided by one or more fences. Alternatively, a reversible fence may be used for miter cuts when configured and affixed to the base assembly in a first position, and may be used for table or radial cuts when configured and affixed to the base assembly in a second position.
Abstract: Embodiments of an alignment system for a table saw are disclosed, wherein the table saw has a rotatable blade that extends through its table top, the table top having spaced indicia oriented in a direction parallel to the plane of the blade, comprising an elongated fence having first and second end portions, at least the first end portion having a mechanism for securing the fence on the table saw, an elongated portion attached to the first end portion and extending over the table top, the fence being normally oriented so that the elongated portion is parallel to the plane of the blade and being laterally adjustable relative to the blade, at least two light emitting units mounted on the fence at spaced locations along the length of the fence, each unit configured to direct light on a first side of the fence toward the indicia and enable an observer to determine if the fence is oriented parallel to the indicia.
Abstract: A cutting machine can include a cutting machine body that is movably supported above a table and capable of vertical movement, the cutting machine body can be positioned at an upward waiting position and a lower end position. The cutting machine body can include an auxiliary cover positioned around a portion of a blade and including a projection. When in the upward waiting position the auxiliary cover is not able to move upward because of the position of the projection, and in the lower end position the auxiliary cover is able to move upward.
Abstract: A parallel fence includes a fence body, a front guide, a rear guide, and a positioning device. The fence body is adapted to be placed on a worktable. The front guide and the rear guide are disposed on the front end and the rear ends of the fence body. In a first operational position, the front and rear guides are fixed in position relative to the front and rear guides. In a second operational position, the front and rear guides are prevented from being removed from the front and rear rails in a first direction upwardly away from a surface of the worktable, but the front and rear guides are permitted to move in a second direction along the length of the front and rear rails. In a third operational position, the front and rear guides are permitted to be removed from the front and rear rails in the first direction.
Abstract: A fence ruler for table circular saws includes a longitudinally extending profiled hollow body of mostly rectangular cross-section mountable onto a machine table. One side of the profiled hollow body is formed as a guiding leg with a protruding extension having on its front edge a guiding ruler for guiding lower work pieces. The guiding leg may also be positioned on the machine table to extend at a right angle from the same. A slide is positioned within the hollow space in the hollow body and is movable longitudinally from the outside. At least one catch protrudes from the hollow body and is guided through a longitudinal slot in the profiled hollow body that opens to the outside through an opening slot in the guiding ruler.
Abstract: A miter saw is adapted for performing lengthwise, or rip, operations on a work piece such as wood. A back support arm is positioned off-center such that the work piece can be inserted under the miter saw substantially parallel to the blade. An arcuate aperture in the back support arm ensures that bevel adjustment properly aligns the blade with the blade slot during bevel cuts. An adjustable rail enables the work piece to be positioned in either a normal position, for crosswise cuts, or an orthogonal position, for lengthwise cuts. A toggle switch overrides the on/off switch on the handle, useful when the work piece is fed from behind. Two separate sleeves cover the blade, assuring safety during operation for both lengthwise and crosswise cuts. A tensioning board feed roller holds the work piece in place during lengthwise cutting.
Abstract: The present invention provides for an alignment device for aligning a punch tool to punch a design into a sheet media comprised of a clip, where the clip is comprised of first and second resilient arms meeting at a connection point. A first guide edge is disposed angularly from the first resilient arm, such that when the punch tool is secured in the clip between the first and second resilient arms and the sheet media is placed along the first guide edge, the punch tool is positioned to punch a design into the sheet media. Additionally, a second guide edge may be disposed angularly from the second resilient arm, such that when the punch tool is secured in the clip between the first and second resilient arms and the sheet media is placed along the first and second guide edges, the punch tool is positioned to punch a design into the sheet media.

Abstract: The present invention provides a miter guide for a table saw that allows the operator to make a miter cut with a slope in a single pass of the workpiece past the cutting blade. The miter guide includes a base within a pivotally attached guide bar that slidably engages the alignment groove in the work table of a table saw. The base is thus pivotably about a vertical axis to one of a selected number of angular orientations with respect to the cutting blade to provide the miter cut desired. A work platform that receives the workpiece to be cut is pivotally attached to the base about a horizontal axis and is thereby adjustable to a number of angular orientations with respect to the base to provide the desired slope to the miter cut.
Abstract: A slicing machine that deposits foodstuff slices in a stack atop a support in a stacking station has a sheet-interposing device provided with a supply roll of sheet material and a feed roller for feeding a leading end of the sheet material in a direction to the stacking station. a guide between the station and the roller imparts to the sheet leading end an upwardly concave U-shape to stiffen the sheet leading end so it projects horizontally stiffly from the guide above the station. A cutter movable between the guide and the station cuts off the sheet leading end so that the cut-off end drops down in the station.
Abstract: A saw for removing opposing deck boards from a pallet. A pair of band saws are suspendedly and pivotally mounted to a frame. Guide fingers extend between the saw blades to engage the opposing surfaces of pallet deck boards to automatically position the saw blades with the junctions between deck boards and pallet runners. An upwardly extending bed is cantileverly mounted to the saw supporting the pallet.
Abstract: A bifurcated holdown shoe for radial arm saw mounted to the saw guard of the radial arm saw such that the lower surface of the holdown shoe is mounted at a distance above the radial arm saw saw table corresponding to the height of a work piece to pass underneath the holdown shoe and be cut by the radial arm saw. The holdown shoe includes an arm portion which is bifurcated into two arms separated by a channel. A portion of the saw blade is held within the channel. The holdown shoe holds a work piece vertically steady against the saw table immediately adjacent the saw blade during a rip-cut, thus reducing the occurrence of kick-back.
Abstract: A severing apparatus for sheet-laminating machines for separating sheets, transported as single sheets and coated with a continuous film layer, with severing of the overhanging film layer in the edge region of the overlapping area by means of a moving knife, wherein on a rotary table taking hold of the sheet line from below, at least one and preferably several knives, distributed at equal intervals over the periphery, are pivotably mounted with an essentially radial cutting edge, which, by means of a cam control, on passing over the edge of the sheet line, can be lowered from a raised position into an operating position gliding on the sheet line and can be raised again running up from the sheet line, and wherein the circumferential speed of the knife section cutting into the film layer is appreciably greater than the conveying speed of the sheet line.
Abstract: Upon upper and lower cutting tools, in a slitting machine, cutting along the opposite edges of a web being adjusted transversely to the web, a corresponding suction nozzle, for taking up the cut-off edge of the web, is correspondingly adjusted transversely to ensure that it takes up the cut-off edge, by a respective drive unit. For ensuring entry of the leading end of a cut-off edge strip into the nozzle, a respective finger is swung down in advance of the leading end.

Abstract: A precision hand-held pipe cutting tool is provided utilizing an elongated body which is hand-gripped and contains an axially aligned motor, and a rotating saw blade parallel and adjacent to an angularly adjustable dial with a variety of depth limiting notches in the circumference thereof such that a pipe may be cut all, or part way, through, or provided with an annular channel. The tool also incorporates an integral reamer which de-burrs the interior edge of the cut pipe.
Abstract: A trim press for severing cup-shaped articles from a sheet of thermoplastic material in which the articles have been integrally formed as by a vacuum forming operation. A horizontally reciprocable punch is driven to sever articles positioned in a stationary die by a linkage arranged to drive the punch at a relatively slow speed during the severing operation to achieve a smooth shearing separation of the relatively soft thermoplastic material. The sheet is fed into the die in step-by-step movement through vertical sheet guides fixedly mounted in a treadle which is reciprocated with the punch at a proportionate speed. A flexible sheet guide connected between the guides in the treadle and a fixed point on the machine frame flexes to accommodate reciprocation of the treadle while continuously guiding the sheet to the guides on the treadle. Feed fingers mounted on the treadle advance the sheet to the die in step-by-step movement synchronized with the stroke of the punch.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for splicing the trailing end of an expiring web of an old stock roll to the leading web end of a new stock roll. The new stock roll is provided with a splicing tape for initially releasably attaching the leading end of the new stock roll to its outer web convolution. A plurality of sensors are provided for positioning the new stock roll and splicing tape in a precise presplicing position prior to the splicing operation. During the splicing operation, a web guiding and severing mechanism guides the expiring web into engagement with the new stock roll, severs the expiring web, and splices the trailing end of the expiring web to the splicing tape on the leading end of the new stock roll.
Abstract: A bakery product slicer and method for forming vertical slits extending along proof lines between adjacent buns in clusters of buns. The slicer includes a rotary vertical slicing blade located in the path of movement of clusters past the slicer at the nominal location of the proof line and a fixed aligner having a heel portion with a curved bow and divergent flanks located upstream of the blade with plates extending from the heel portion to either side of the blade and beyond the downstream edge of the blade so the blade is fitted in a slot between the plates. As clusters are moved toward the aligner the open crease above the proof line is moved adjacent the heel portion of the aligner so that the flanks engage the buns and assure that the proof line between the buns is held in alignment with the fixed blade so that the vertical slit extends along the actual proof line.
