A lateral cut is made to connect the innermost slit between the upper and lower level outs on the new order and the slit created by the tool delayed from withdrawal in the running order.

Abstract: A method for cutting a ribbon of rubber-coated fabric includes dragging a free end of the ribbon past a working position of a punching device, forming a notch between two adjacent reinforcing cords of the ribbon using the punching device, moving a counter-blade of the punching device away from the working position, inserting at least one cutting blade through the notch, and performing first and second cuts of the ribbon. An associated apparatus includes a punching device and a cutting device. The punching device includes an incision tool, an abutting counter-blade, and control devices for moving the incision tool and the abutting counter-blade toward and away from the ribbon. The cutting device includes at least one cutting blade and a control device for moving the at least one cutting blade toward and away from the ribbon.

Abstract: A method of implementing a change of format in a system for cutting sheets of corrugated board comprises the application of at least three first longitudinal cuts by a first group of longitudinal-cutter tool and at least three second longitudinal cuts by a second group of longitudinal-cutter tools. All the three longitudinal cuts overlap one another in the conveying direction. In this way, the corrugated board can be exploited more efficiently in the area of format change.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing and stacking sheets cut from a web of material, in which by longitudinal cutting, at least two web sections 7a, 7b of predetermined width are cut from the web of material 7, by transverse cutting, a predetermined number of sheets of material of desired length are cut from each of the web sections 7a, 7b, and the cut sheets are delivered to stackers which stack the cut sheets according to the different cut formats.

Abstract: A process for obtaining disposable cleaning cloths is disclosed which consists in taking a fabric piece of a width corresponding to that of the cleaning cloth to be obtained and subjecting it to successive intermittent transversal cuts in the direction of the weft spaced according to the length of the cleaning cloth. The cuts prevent unravelling and help the user to detach each cleaning cloth individually from the rest of the piece. The cleaning cloths have longitudinal edges which may not be unravelled in the direction of the warp.
