Abstract: The present invention provides a cutting device for liquid crystal substrate and cutting monitoring method thereof. The monitoring method includes: using a plurality of cutters to cut a liquid crystal substrate into a plurality of liquid crystal panels; inspecting respective cutting precision data of different cutting edges of a same liquid crystal panel; summarizing cutting precision data of liquid crystal panels cut by a same cutter; and monitoring cutting characteristics of cutter according to average, maximum and/or minimum of the summarized cutting precision data. Through associating cutter and cutting precision data and summarizing the cutting precision data corresponding to a same cutter, the present invention can accurately monitor the cutting characteristics of cutter in real time and can identify the corresponding cutter when abnormal situation of cutting characteristics occurs.

  • Patent number: 8528452
Abstract: A safety system prevents cutting machine operators from being accidentally carried through the infeed chute into the machine's cutting mechanism. An operator wears a safety device on his wrist and/or ankle and a sensor array mounts on opposing sides of the cutting machine's infeed chute. The sensor array elements are wound in opposite directions and connect in series opposing. The magnetic field of the safety device induces a current in the sensor array as it moves in the proximity of the sensor array. The safety system generates a signal which is proportional to the sum of the induced currents. When the signal exceeds a threshold, the safety system shuts off power to the feed mechanism and/or the cutting blades of the cutting machine, preventing injury to the operator.

  • Publication number: 20090241748
Abstract: In various embodiments, a saw can include a work surface and a blade at least partially extending through the work surface. In at least one embodiment, the saw can further include a sensor and a light emitter, wherein the light emitter can be configured to emit a first light beam and a second light beam onto at least a portion of the work surface. In various embodiments, the sensor can be can be configured to detect a plurality of saw conditions and, owing to communication between the sensor and the light emitter, the light emitter can be configured to emit the first light beam onto the work surface when the sensor detects a first saw condition and emit the second light beam onto the work surface when the sensor detects a second saw condition.

  • Patent number: 7428859
Abstract: A lower guillotine cutter blade (2) is mounted to a frame (1). A guillotine cutter-blade holder (3) holds an upper guillotine cutter blade (4) and vertically reciprocates with respect to the lower guillotine cutter blade (2). Rods (6) are vertically slidably mounted to the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3). A pressing plate (5) is secured to the lower ends of the rods (6). Springs (7) are fitted around the rods (6) between the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3) and the pressing plate (5) for downwardly elastically biasing the rods (6) so that the heads (6a) of the rods are kept abutted against the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3). In a cutting operation, after the pressing plate (5) is brought into abutment with a batch of paper (20), the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3) is further downwardly moved, thereby causing the lower and upper guillotine cutter blades (2 and 4) to cut the batch of paper (20) and also causing the heads (6a) to upwardly protrude from the guillotine cutter-blade holder (3).
