  • Patent number: 7255032
Abstract: A puncher having a replaceable knife holder comprises a base, a knife holder, and a wastepaper-storing case. A cover is pivotally mounted in the front of the base. The front edge of the cover is extended to the knife-holding groove such that the knife-holding groove only provides the paper-only space for holding the paper. The paper is precisely punched by adjusting the adjusting knob mounted on a front panel of the cover. The knife holder is tightly fixed by a plurality of screwing knobs. A plurality of knives is mounted on a pressing plate that mounts on the backside of the knife holder. The knife holder is tightly fixed by the screwing knobs so the knife holder can be easily detached and replaced by another knife holder having different hole type and hole number. Besides, the cover also facilitates assembly and maintenance of the knife holder.

  • Patent number: 6415699
Abstract: A saw comprising a saw assembly including an upper saw blade guard and a motor which can be actuated by an on-off switch arrangement and can rotatingly, drive a saw blade mounted on the assembly. The saw assembly is pivotably mounted on a saw table such that the saw assembly can be lowered towards the table to cut a workpiece resting on the table. The saw includes a lower moveable guard which is pivotably mounted to the upper guard so that the lower guard is moveable to expose a saw blade mounted on the assembly and a guard lock arrangement is used for locking the lower guard over a saw blade mounted on the saw assembly when the saw is not in use. The guard lock arrangement includes a guard lock lever moveably mounted to the saw assembly.

  • Patent number: 5117719
Abstract: A tape printer for making adhesive labels includes a tape supply, a printer for reverse printing on the tape and a double-sided adhesive film, one side of which is laminated to the printed tape and the other side of which carries a release paper. The printer has a cutter for cutting the tape from the continuous supply tape and includes a trimmer for rounding the corners of the tape to reduce defoliation of the tape from the surface to which it is applied. The cutting blade of the trimmer has a central straight section, contiguous arcuate sections at each end of the central straight section and auxiliary straight cutting edges contiguous with the arcuate sections and extending at an obtuse angle to the central straight section. The cutting blade is mounted in an integrally molded support unit which includes guide members for guiding the width of tape to be trimmed by the cutting blade.

  • Patent number: 4981060
Abstract: A roll forming apparatus disclosed has a series of roll forming stations with a first group of stations having rollers that are adjustable to different width settings using the same rollers to form more than one width of ogee type gutter. A cutter uses interchangeable cutting blades and die plates for shearing different gutter sizes to selected lengths. The cutter uses a rotary drive member to move the blade in a path having a relatively short stroke that performs a scissor-like cutting action to successively cut the walls of the formed gutters for each revolution of the rotary drive member. A crank member for manually moving the cutter blade is collapsible and the crank handle is demountable for transport purposes.

  • Patent number: 4136592
Abstract: During passage of an I-beam through a punching press for punching holes vertically through its web, holes are also punched through its flanges by horizontally acting punches of the present invention. Four C-shaped punching heads are provided for the flanges. To permit punching closely adjacent holes, two punches are powered by a single hydraulic cylinder, unless one is deactivated. A joint gauge screw precisely adjusts gauge (the spacing between the two punches), and may be raised or lowered for centering as to web. Before each flange punching operation, the web is pressed firmly against a fixed block level with the web die. The piston of the hydraulic cylinder is of such large diameter that the varying positions of the punches will lie within the projected periphery of the piston rod.
