  • Patent number: 6324953
Abstract: A device for forming a cutting blade for prints is disclosed. The device of this invention forms cutting blades by appropriately bending and cutting a metal strip into desired blades through integrated work regardless of a difference in the size of metal strips. The device is also provided with changeable jigs, thus being capable of forming bridge notches having different intervals, widths and configurations. The device has one vertically movable bending pin and one swing cutter. The bending pin is capable of quickly bending a metal strip into a desired configuration, while the swing cutter finely and precisely cuts the metal strip into cutting blades. The device also quickly produces high precision cutting blades, thus improving productivity and reducing the cost of the cutting blades.

  • Patent number: 4476760
Abstract: A fluid actuated cutting machine comprising a stationary lower blade and a vertically movable upper blade mounted at one end to a pivot rod. The upper blade is disposed at angle relative to the horizontal plane. The other free end of the upper blade is disposed beyond a vertical plane on which lies the cutting edge of the lower blade. A pressure arm, mounted on a cantilivered beam connected to the base of the machine, acts against any tendency for the upper blade to align its cutting edge with the cutting edge of the lower blade. During its downward movement, the upper blade is constantly drawn from its horizontally angled position relative to the lower blade towards alignment with the lower blade. This movement is resisted by the pressure arm. The resistance causes a firm cutting pressure between the two blades at the constantly moving contact point during the downward movement of the upper blade.

  • Patent number: 4436013
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting sheet material spread in one or more layers over a supporting surface uses a reciprocating cutting blade cutter movable in two coordinate directions in the plane of the supporting surface to enable the cutting blade to follow a desired line of cut relative to the sheet material. The cutting blade has a leading cutting edge that performs the actual cutting operation with a slicing action. During the cutting operation, mechanical means within the apparatus produces blade dither about the axis of reciprocation in synchronism with the reciprocation strokes of the blade.
