    Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a method and device with which it is possible, in a simple and rapid way, to form a buttonhole in a fabric which requires no further marking. The object of the invention is achieved by providing a method for producing a buttonhole in a fabric, in which an opening is formed in the fabric by means of an ultrasonic welding treatment, after which the edges of this opening are fused, to form the buttonhole.

    Abstract: A pair of hole punching pliers, so-called stoma pliers, is arranged to punch a hole in a skin protection plate for a stoma bag. The hole punching remedies of the pliers consist of a hole socket (16) and a holding-up plate (18) for the same. During the punching, a plastic skin protection plate is located between the hole socket (16) and the opposing surface of the holding-up plate (18), as the free, outer cutting/punching edge (22) of the hole socket (16) after the completion of the punching abuts directly on said opposing holding-up plate surface.

The moving blade travels back and forth in a groove (19) in a plate (1) with an aperture for the needle to pass through while it is producing a stitch. The needle-aperture plate comprises at least a top (11 or 11") and a bottom (10 or 10"). The moving blade is entirely accommodated between the top and the bottom of the plate. The stationary blade is part of the top.
