Abstract: An AR-pattern firearm comprises an upper receiver, a housing positioned above the upper receiver and containing a recoil spring assembly, a bolt carrier assembly positioned in the upper receiver, and a bridge plate operably connecting the bolt carrier assembly to the recoil spring assembly. Discharge of the firearm causes rearward movement of the bolt carrier assembly out of battery and hence rearward movement of the bridge plate which stores energy in the recoil spring assembly, whereupon the stored energy in the recoil spring assembly causes the bolt carrier assembly to move forward back into battery.
Abstract: A pistol has a housing, a barrel slide, a barrel and a locking device for locking the barrel to the barrel slide. The locking device is formed by a head of the barrel, a locking block and a pair of locking bodies. The locking bodies engage the barrel slide by the action of the locking block and thus lock the barrel to the barrel slide. The locking block has two first wedge surfaces which are symmetrical about a longitudinal center plane. Each locking body is an elongated cylinder having a second wedge surface which faces the other locking body and interacts in a sheetlike manner with the first wedge surfaces of the locking block. Each locking body has an engagement surface which faces away from the other locking body and is intended for engaging respective recess of the barrel slide.
Abstract: A firearm includes a moveable bolt assembly that absorbs energy associated with the discharge of the firearm. An energy absorbing mechanism within the bolt assembly may include a dampening spring that provides recoil energy dissipation. With this arrangement, one or more actuators may be provided that are operative to compress the dampening spring with respect to the bolt assembly in response to the discharge of the firearm.
Abstract: Breechblock for barrel weapons, having a breechblock head which is guided in a breechblock guide and, by means of a control element which can be moved to and fro in a straight line and has control ramps, can be brought out of a loading position into a locking position, which is parallel to and axially displaced with respect to the loading position, inside a breechblock bearing, which breechblock head has supporting surfaces, which are associated in a form-locking manner with the control ramps of the control element, and at least one locking boss, which corresponds with a recess in the breechblock, for the purpose of locking in the locking position.
