  • Patent number: 11268775
Abstract: A vehicle, in particular a tank, having a turret, on which a gun having a large-calibre gun barrel is secured, and comprising an auto-loader positioned behind the turret, via which auto-loader ammunition can be automatically supplied to the gun barrel. In order to achieve simplified automatic loading of the gun barrel with ammunition, the auto-loader is replaceably secured on the outside of the turret as a separate, modular unit. A magazine located in the auto-loader for receiving the ammunition can also be designed as an interchangeable magazine that can be replaced. An electronic system of the auto-loader is housed in the vehicle, specifically in the turret. The selection of ammunition in the auto-loader and the conveying out of the auto-loader are carried out via at least one mechanical interface, e.g. a power take-off, between the turret and the auto-loader.

  • Patent number: 7383760
Abstract: A method of making flechettes employing the use of a progressive die which forms (a) wire that results in the flechette, and (b) strip material that results in a carrier for the finished flechettes. The carrier, which is a bandolier apparatus, is used for progressing the flechette through the progressive die at various forming stations. After forming of the flechette in the die is complete, the final flechette can be severed from the bandolier, or the flechette can remain intact with the bandolier for post-forming operations, such as coating/finishing. The bandolier is thus a novel approach to transporting the flechettes in both forming and post-forming processing.

Abstract: Ammunition feeder with a handle portion and a head portion. The handle portion is integrally attached to the head portion. The handle portion is a flat elongate shape having raised portions to help the user maintain his grip on the handle. The head portion is shaped to accept the front end of a standard ammunition belt. The head is flattened longitudinally on one side and includes a longitudinal recess so that the feed pawl on a standard machine gun is not activated by the head. A preferred embodiment includes that the feeder fits with the M 60 machine gun and the 240 Golf machine gun.

  • Patent number: 6874266
Abstract: A device to provide storage of a firearm cartridge (26) within a firearm frame cavity (30) consisting of an insert body (10) shaped to fit within the frame cavity of the firearm while securely holding the firearm cartridge. The insert body contains a pair of rigid poles (12,14) attached to a pair of half disks (32,34) that secure the inserted cartridge by tensions created due to the rigidity of the poles when the inserted firearm cartridge forces the poles to their proximal positions. During insertion to the firearm frame cavity, the rigid stopper support (44) of the insert body is urged to its proximal position, but returns to its distal position when the stopper (18) engages the lanyard hole (48) of the frame cavity. Applying a downward force to the front bottom edge (24) of the insert body forces the rigid stopper support back to its proximal position and disengages the stopper from the lanyard hole facilitating removal of the insert body with the stored firearm cartridge still attached.

  • Patent number: 6817135
Abstract: The improved shotgun shell carrier is a rectangular plastic housing one end closed by a sliding door. A zigzag-type compression spring is positioned within the housing between the sliding door and a magazine follower. The open end of the housing is provided with opposing feeding lips formed from spring steel and shaped to funnel the shells one at a time to a release point adjacent the tip of the feeding lips. The feeding lips are formed with a centrally located finger slot having a length greater than the width of a shotgun shell. Blocking elements are pivotally positioned at the open end of the housing to prevent extra shells from falling out when the feeding lips are open. The housing is adapted for receiving attaching elements to enable attaching the carrier to high-speed modular gear in a desired position for quick and efficient reloading of a shotgun.
