Oscillating Working Members Patents (Class 91/177)
  • Patent number: 11852017
Abstract: The invention relates to a modular construction system for a piston machine (100), comprising at least two separate housing parts capable of being joined together into a housing (1) of the piston machine (100), a piston (15) which is configured as a swivel element, is pivotable and is able to be arranged in the housing (1), and a housing cover (7) for covering the housing (1). The piston machine (100) is in particular configured as a modular construction system, the components of which are formed by multiple segments and joined together in a horizontal and a vertical direction in each case. The invention further relates to a piston machine (100) produced using the modular construction system and to a method for producing a piston machine (100).

  • Patent number: 6227152
Abstract: There is described an internal combustion engine comprising at least one cylinder and a crankcase (5), which together with the cylinder forms a common, circular cylindrical tubular body (1), and comprising an oscillating piston (7) rotatably mounted about the cylinder axis and separating a cylinder space (4) defined by radial walls (3) from the crankcase (5), which oscillating piston is in drive connection with a crankshaft (16) parallel to the cylinder axis via a connecting link guide (17) for at least one crank pin (18) of the crankshaft (16), which is provided on the crankcase side of the oscillating piston (7). To create advantageous constructional conditions, it is proposed that the crank pin (18) is supported on the connecting link guide (17) via a roller (19), and that the tubular body (1) forming the cylinder and the crankcase (5) is thermally insulated to the outside.

  • Patent number: 5222463
Abstract: An improvement in an internal combustion engine having a rotating annular cylinder which is rotated in a predetermined ratio to oscillation of a plurality of pairs of oscillating pistons in the cylinder, the pistons being so oscillated so that adjacent pistons are moved alternately apart from one another and toward one another for the respective strokes of the internal combustion engine and having intake port, exhaust ports and ignition means on the rotating annular cylinder located by the rotation of the cylinder between adjacent pistons according to the firing order and cycle of the engine. The improvements include the use of unitary in place of articulated, oscillating crank arms to transmit power from the torque tubes to the crankshaft and the use of pistons having gabled surfaces that are rigidly connected to the torque discs.

  • Patent number: 4899637
Abstract: A rotary actuator includes a shaft rotatably mounted on a body, and a servovalve arranged to operate a vane motor for selectively rotating the shaft relative to the body. A portion of the shaft extends beyond the body. Supply and return passages are provided to the body and shaft so that fluid power supplied to the body is supplied to the servovalve and is also available at the end of the shaft beyond the body. Two or more such rotary actuators may be connected by intermediate brackets to provide a wrist actuator capable of movement about axes.

  • Patent number: 4781103
Abstract: A fluid servomechanism has a first actuator driven by fluid, a second actuator, and a pressure generator for generating pressure corresponding to the difference in displacement between output shafts of the first and the second actuators. Therefore, a compact-size finger facilitating angularly free movement and having a highly elaborate human-like function can be attained.
