Abstract: An oil-pressure apparatus is provided with an actuating cylinder that works on the outside and an acceleration cylinder that does not work on the outside. When a rod of the actuating cylinder is extended with no load applied to the actuating cylinder, oil is supplied to the actuating cylinder through the acceleration cylinder so that extension of the rod is accelerated. When the rod of the actuating cylinder is extended with load applied to the actuating cylinder, oil is adjusted to the actuating cylinder without passing through the acceleration cylinder so that original thrust of the actuating cylinder is exerted.
Abstract: An actuator subsystem preferably for a robot or bionic linkage. A joint between two robotic or bionic members includes at least first and second actuators such as piston-cylinder assemblies connected between the members. A hydraulic circuit includes a sensor subsystem for sensing the magnitude of the load on the piston-cylinder assemblies and/or members. A fluid supply system includes an actuatable control valve operable to supply fluid to one or both piston-cylinder assemblies. A control circuit is responsive to the sensor and is configured to electronically control the fluid subsystem to supply fluid to the first piston-cylinder assembly when the sensor subsystem senses a load below a predetermined magnitude and to supply fluid to both piston-cylinder assemblies when the sensor subsystem senses a load above the predetermined magnitude.
Abstract: A feedback type of diversion valve which can be used to sequentially "operate" or "activate" fluid responive structures such as tubes of a pillow.
Abstract: A dual pump is disclosed in which a single valve controls flow of power fluid to the pump piston. Cams on the pistons and push rods on the valve interact to control the valve timing.
Abstract: A pulsator for milking machines has two diaphragms connected by a rod with each diaphragm dividing a pressure chamber into a processing space and a damping space. The damping spaces communicate through a channel that is provided with a throttle. The processing spaces are connected either to a source of vacuum or to the atmosphere. A switchover is attached to the rod and connects lines leading to the pulsation spaces of milking containers either to the atmosphere or to a source of vacuum. A main line is provided with a throttle. The throttles in the communicating channel and in the main line are detoured by bypasses provided with chokes that can be vacuum-activated through control channels.
Abstract: A progressive distributor 1 for lubricants is provided, where the lubricant is fed in under pressure via a joint channel 20 and then discharged in several discharge channels and ports 25 to 28. At least two successively disposed piston elements 4, 5 are each provided with a piston 8 in each case shiftable between two end positions in a cylinder bore 7 and provided with control grooves 9, 10. The piston subdivides the cylinder bore 7 into two outer metering chambers 17, 18 and at least one intermediately disposed control chamber 19. The piston elements 4, 5 are connected to each other such that the pistons 8 are shifted successively and that lubricant is transported from a metering chamber 17, 18 via a control chamber 19 to an output 25 to 28.
Abstract: The invention provides a propulsive-force jack installation for producing the continuous movement of an oblong object (1) in the direction of its axis and it is characterized in that it comprises two jack assemblies whose pistons (6, 6') work in seesaw fashion, a piston (6) of one assembly taking in charge said object (1) as soon as the piston (6') of the other assembly ceases this action, offload movement of the piston (6 or 6') and its locking on the object (1) being controlled automatically just before the arrival at the end of travel under load of the other piston (6' or 6) and the offload descent of one piston (6 or 6') being controlled automatically at a time which follows the beginning of the taking in charge of the object by the other piston (6' or 6). The invention may be applied to hoisting, self-raising, prospection, or working platforms at sea.
Abstract: A piston-cylinder assembly for displacing a load through a long stroke consists of a rod, a piston slidable on the rod and by fluid pressure the piston is clamped to the rod, and a cylinder in which the piston is contained. By clamping the piston to the rod and introducing fluid into the cylinder, relative movement is caused between the piston and cylinder and the rod. When one assembly is used, the movement is intermittent but, by mounting two pistons on the rod, each piston being in a separate cylinder, and by controlling the flow of fluid, the movement is continuous.
Abstract: A concrete pump comprises a pair of separate pump assemblies each having a cylinder, a piston subdividing same into a piston-side front compartment and a rod-side rear compartment, and a piston rod connected to the respective piston and extending out of the respective cylinder through the respective rod-side rear compartment. The pump also has a liquid supply having a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side for supplying liquid under high pressure at the high-pressure side and for taking in liquid at the low-pressure side.

Abstract: An automatic, hydraulically actuated, sequencing valve for use with a pair of hydraulic actuators (e.g. double acting hydraulic cylinders). The valve includes a valve body, a bore therein, and a valve spool axially shiftable in the bore. The valve spool shifts automatically due to creation of a differential in hydraulic pressures on opposite ends of the valve spool during each admission of hydraulic fluid under actuating pressure to the valve.
Abstract: A hauling device, for example for a mining machine, has two clamping elements which grip on ramps each of which elements is attached to an operating rod of a hauling jack. The jacks are operated alternately, in conjunction with the clamping elements to advance or retract the machine, and the hauling jacks are hydraulically interconnected in a manner to avoid hunting.
