Abstract: Applicant provides a novel liquified booster pump. The pump takes high pressure boosted gas to a higher pressure. The pump is a pneumatically driven liquified gas booster pump with a shuttle valve enclosed within a body of the pump. Furthermore, the gas which is use to be boosted is carried from an inlet on the body of the pump to an outlet on the body of the pump, the boosted gas being carried entirely within the body of the pump with no external tubing. The pneumatically driven booster pump has a double ended piston within the central body and at least one shuttle valve incorporated in the piston for transferring gas from one side of the piston to the other.
Abstract: A fluid pressure piston-cylinder drive unit is reciprocated automatically by coupling the opposite ends of the cylinder through delivery conduits to a source of fluid pressure and exhaust through a switching valve in which a longitudinally reciprocative spool has a pair of passageways which reversibly couple one end of the cylinder to the source of fluid pressure and the other end of the cylinder to an exhaust conduit. The opposite ends of the switching valve contain shift pistons each of which engages an end of the spool through a coil spring. The shift pistons abut the opposite ends of an elongated rod which extends freely through a bore in the spool. Bypass conduits couple the opposite ends of the cylinder through the delivery conduits one to each end of the valve body such that fluid pressure in one delivery conduit from the source is coupled to one end of the valve body while exhaust fluid pressure from the other delivery conduit is coupled to the other end of the valve body.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the flow of a pressure fluid in a motor includes an arm which cooperates with a locking device to regulate the flow of the pressure fluid through a shut-off member or valve. The arm is connected to a lever which is pivotable about the same axis as the arm. Through resilient means, the arm and the lever are prestressed so that upon movement of the lever into a predetermined position, the arm which is locked in its end positions by a respective lock pawl is released and impelled from one end position into the other. During the movement of the arm, the shut-off valve is actuated so as to regulate the pressure fluid.

Abstract: A pump jack having a walking beam oscillated in a vertical arc by a hydraulic actuating cylinder that receives pressurized hydraulic fluid from a variable displacement pump. The hydraulic actuating cylinder is controlled by a hydraulic valve having an operating member mechanically shifted by a second hydraulic actuating cylinder near the end points of the pivotation arc of the walking beam to reverse the direction of movement of the walking beam during the shifting of the operating member of the hydraulic valve. The second hydraulic actuating cylinder is controlled by a second hydraulic valve that transmits pressure to the second hydraulic actuating cylinder from the variable displacement pump and reverses the flow of pressurized hydraulic fluid to the ports of the second hydraulic actuating cylinder near the end points of the pivotation arc of the walking beam.
Abstract: A liquid-operated reciprocating prime mover assembly includes upper and lower reservoirs formed of interlocking cylinders enabling relative expansion and contraction of the interior volumes thereof, and a shuttle valve disposed intermediately and connectingly between the upper and lower reservoirs for receiving a stream of operating liquid and directing the same alternatingly between the reservoirs. As the liquid is directed to each reservoir that reservoir is caused to expand, carrying the shuttle valve in a first direction along a rectilinear path, while when fed to the other reservoir the liquid causes the valve to be correspondingly carried in the opposite direction along the path. A body washing apparatus incorporating the prime mover assembly further includes an operatively rotatable brush assembly carried along the rectilinear path and supporting a brush rotatable as the shuttle valve traverses the path for cleansing contact with a user's body.
