  • Patent number: 11162490
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of pumping equipment and can be used in the oil industry in the operation of marginal wells. A pump comprises a submersible electric motor with a protector. A drive of a working pump converts rotary motion into reciprocating motion. The working pump consists of a housing, an intake valve, a delivery valve, and a bypass valve, a main cylinder, and a hollow stepped plunger, the lower step of which is connected to a rod and has a diametral size that is smaller than the diametral size of the upper step. Below the main cylinder an additional cylinder is provided which accommodates the lower step of the hollow stepped plunger. The main cylinder is not rigidly fastened inside the housing. The fact that the main cylinder is not rigidly fastened allows it to self-align relative to the hollow stepped plunger, thus preventing jamming and increasing the operating reliability and the working life of the pump.

  • Patent number: 8783163
Abstract: A piston pump device has a support unit, a pump cylinder, and a pump piston arranged in the pump cylinder. The pump cylinder has a longitudinal center axis, and a cylinder bottom arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis. The pump piston is movable relative to the cylinder bottom, and the pump cylinder is secured on the support unit by a securing unit. The securing unit has a leaf spring, which permits a pivoting movement of the longitudinal center axis of the pump cylinder relative to the support unit. The piston pump device is wear-resistant and runs quietly. When used as a suction pump, the piston pump device additionally permits a controllable air flow until the pump comes to a stop.

  • Patent number: 8656825
Abstract: The present invention is a telescopic composite cylinder that functions as a hydraulic hoist incorporating multiple cylinders formed of composite materials. The walls of the multiple cylinders may be formed of pultruded composite material, or a combination of composite materials. The cylinders of the hydraulic hoist may incorporate a plurality of piston and sleeve assemblies that are mounted so as to invoke a telescopic relationship between the multiple cylinders. The materials that the cylinders are formed of may create walls having a smooth surface that can eliminate problems facing hoists formed of other materials, for example, such as a honing process, fluid leakage and seal wearing problems. The hoist may be run on diesel fuel drawn from the tank of a vehicle. Additionally, the present invention may be releasably attached to a surface by way of a saddle mounting system.

Abstract: A tractor-drawn plow is carried at its left front end on a tractor via vertically shiftable hitch means and at its right front end on a furrow wheel linkage means providing for raising and lowering of the frame among transport, open-up plowing and normal plowing positions. The hitch means and furrow wheel linkage include separate hydraulic motors of the two-way type, and these are connected hydraulically in series, with provision for re-phasing, to insure substantial leveling of the frame during raising and lowering movement of the frame. Provision is made in the connection of the hitch motor to the hitch means for enabling limited retrograde movement of the hitch motor piston to a position covering the re-phase port after the hitch motor has extended to fully raise the frame. Further provision is made in the furrow wheel linkage enabling lowering of the frame to either open-up plowing position or normal plowing position by retraction strokes of the same length of the furrow wheel motor.

  • Patent number: 4442694
Abstract: A floor-mounted forging press has a static piston arranged on the top beam and a cylinder which slides on the piston and forms a toolholder, and a bore extending through the piston for supplying pressure medium to the cylinder. The piston is hollow and is swivelly mounted by means of ball cups at the lower end of the piston and on the top beam and a thrust bearing member between the ball cups, the piston being held in the vertical position on the top beam with the aid of retaining means. One form of retaining means is a partially resilient pressure medium pipe which holds the piston. Alternatively pins, mounted by means of spherical surfaces, suspend the piston by way of a flange on the piston and are resiliently biased to hold the piston against the top beam in a free-play, resilient and freely movable manner, a bore being provided through the ball cups and thrust bearing member.

Abstract: A petroleum pumping unit which is especially suitable for use in remote oil fields and under unpredictable pumping conditions is disclosed. The petroleum pumping unit of the present invention, which is easily movable between a folded, collapsed position for storage and shipment and an erect position for pumping operations, includes a horizontal support platform on which is pivotally mounted a mast assembly including a pair of masts spaced outwardly from the centrally positioned well polish rod. The polish rod is engaged by a notch in a horizontal, vertically movable bridle and is powered by at least one pair of flexibly mounted hydraulic cylinders and associated piston rods attached to the bridle and positioned between the polish rod and the masts and parallel thereto. Vertical movement of the bridle and, therefore, the stroke of the polish rod is defined by upper and lower limit switches which are actuated by actuating means on the bridle.

Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder mount assembly (50) for a cylinder (42) having first and second ends (52,64) includes a spherical load bearing surface (96) located at one of said first and second ends (52,64), which has a diameter (98) which is less than the diameter of the cylinder housing (100). Accordingly, the mount assembly (50) is smaller and more compact than prior art mounts and the cylindrical load bearing surface (96) allows the hydraulic cylinder (42) to pivot with three degrees of freedom so as to avoid any bending moments or other stresses. The mount can be used to mount hydraulic cylinders for a carriage (14) of a lift truck (10) so as to afford an overall compact design.

  • Patent number: 4358989
Abstract: To reduce the piston velocity in a cylinder as the piston approaches the end positions, a signal transmitter is provided for sensing the position of a part driven by means of the piston and cylinder assembly, and thus of the piston in the cylinder. The signal of the signal transmitter is applied to a control unit in which it is compared with a signal from an actuator means. The signal from the actuator means controls the extension and shortening of the piston and cylinder assembly and the velocity at which this occurs, and may be positive or negative. The comparison of signals is so exploited that if it is established by this comparison that the piston is not in the areas of the end positions or, alternatively is in these areas but is activated by the actuator means to move away therefrom, the signal from the actuator means is not acted upon, whereas if the piston is in these areas and approaches the end positions, the hydraulic fluid supply to the piston and cylinder assembly is continuously reduced.

  • Patent number: 4183286
Abstract: A hydraulic driving mechanism for a vehicle wheel includes a housing and three piston-cylinder assemblies pivoted to side plates of the housing. Each assembly communicates with hydraulic fluid under pressure and a reciprocating piston rod of each assembly drives a pinion through a surrounding eccentric and driving ring when the assembly is rocked in an arc about its pivot connection. The assemblies and corresponding pinions are located around and in mesh with the outer periphery of a central pinion which is affixed to an output shaft to rotate the wheel. The rocking of each assembly causes a sliding valve within a control valve housing to open and close return and inlet fluid ducts. An anchorage links each sliding valve to the housing for the mechanism. The housing affords the connection between the wheel and the vehicle frame and includes two spaced-apart plates with strips between the plates that leave upper and lower blocks.
