Abstract: A spin processing apparatus can prevent contamination of workpieces by wear particles, and can operate at high efficiency while lowering the noise level associated with the operation of the apparatus. The spin processing apparatus includes a chamber, a spin holder disposed inside the chamber for holding workpieces, and driver device for rotating the spin holder. A supporting device is provided for rotatably supporting the spin holder in a non-contact manner through a magnetically-operated mechanism.
Abstract: An adjustable piston packing expander for use with conventional caulking gun piston assemblies is disclosed. The packing expander threads onto the piston rod and includes a frusto-conical expansion surface which contacts the inner surface of the packing wherein advanced threading of the packing expander onto the piston rod will adjustably expand the packing into sealing engagement with the gun barrel walls. A set screw locks the packing expander in adjustment relative to the packing. A lock washer keyed to the square piston rod and interlocked to a rear piston rod washer having locking pins extending into the packing and forming a part of the piston assembly interlocks the packing against motion relative to the piston rod.
Abstract: Packing or sealing moving in a hollow cylinder.Such a device, or moving piston with self-tightening ring, comprises two elements of cylindrical external outline such as a cylindrical rod integral with the first element slides in a cylindrical chamber delimited inside a second element and facing the first element, the two elements being separated by an annular ring that ensures the packing or sealing with the internal wall of the cylinder.Such a piston allows to suppress use of mercury as pressure transmission agent.
Abstract: A piston pump comprising a cylindrical sleeve member, a tetrafluoroethylene plunger head contained within the sleeve member, at least one O-ring contained within a circular recess concentric with and extending axially from the lower transverse face of and into the plunger head, and a piston rod having one end concentric with and rigidly mounted to this lower transverse face. Also, a pressure cap having a cylindrical uppermost portion dimensioned to fit into the circular recess of the plunger head, is adjustably mounted upon the piston rod, for axially compressing the O-ring(s), causing the O-ring(s) to exert a radial force against and effect a seal of a portion of the circular side walls of the plunger head against the opposing interior wall of the sleeve.
