Abstract: A piston of a fluid pressure cylinder comprises a sealing ring interposed in a sealing ring accommodation groove, a piston ring that is interposed in a piston ring accommodation groove of the piston and comprises a fractured portion, and a backup ring that is attached to an outer peripheral surface of the piston and contacts the sealing ring and the piston ring. A groove for holding the backup ring is not required, and therefore a diameter of the piston can be reduced relative to the sealing ring. As a result, attachment of the sealing ring to the piston is simplified.

Abstract: A piston includes a piston body, an elastic adhesive layer, and a low thermal-conductivity sheet. The piston body has a piston top surface facing a combustion chamber, and exhibits a first thermal conductivity. The elastic adhesive sheet is formed on the piston top surface of the piston body, and includes a heat resistant resin. The low thermal-conductivity sheet is formed on the elastic adhesive layer, and exhibits a second thermal conductivity being lower than the first thermal conductivity of the piston body and falling in a range of from 5 or more to 40 W/m·K or less.

Abstract: The invention relates to a piston-type accumulator comprising a separating piston (24), which can be axially displaced inside an accumulator housing (10) and which separates two spaces from one another inside the accumulator housing (10), particularly a gas side (22) from a liquid side (20) of the accumulator. Due to the fact that the separating piston (24) is predominantly or completely made of a plastic material, it can be provided with a very light weight whereby reducing the overall installation weight of the piston-type accumulator.

Abstract: A piston adapted for use in offset mounting conditions includes a piston body having a longitudinally-extending axis. First and second securement features are located at radially outer positions relative to the axis. The first and second securement features are also located on one diametrical side of a midplane of the piston body. A plurality of support walls extends from the diametrically opposite side of the piston body toward the securement features. A gas spring assembly including such a piston is also included.

Abstract: A hydraulic piston apparatus includes a piston having a piston body movable along an axis, the piston body having a substantially cylindrical shape, a radius, and an outer wall extending substantially parallel to the axis, the outer wall having at least one portion that defines a cavity having a first width and a second width, the second width being greater than the first width and disposed radially inward from the first width. The cavity is configured to apply a retaining force to an attachment during use.

  • Publication number: 20070240564
Abstract: A piston 1 which is to be movably supported in a cylinder 11 of a pump 10 to be reciprocally driven is formed by a fluororesin so that it is not impaired by a corrosive liquid. A cylindrical outer peripheral portion 2 of the piston 1 has a thickness of 1 mm or less, and is flexible. The outer peripheral portion has a flange portion 7 in an open end portion via an approximately 180-degree folded-back portion 3. The flange portion 7 is attached to the cylinder 11. When the pump 10 is driven, the cylindrical outer peripheral portion 2 of the piston 1 smoothly rolls without producing deflections or bends in a gap between the outer peripheral face of a piston support member 15 and the inner peripheral face of the cylinder 11, while being in close contact with the two faces.

  • Patent number: 7174829
Abstract: An adjustable piston pump for displacement and extraction of remnant from soft sand and or soft soil includes a pump casing cylinder that is capped at one end and opens at the other end. It includes a handle fixed to the pump casing cylinder, a shaft rod, a shaft rod handle and a piston that includes a flexible ball. The shaft rod is retractable through the center of the capped end of the pump casing cylinder and is connected to a shaft rod handle. The portion of the shaft rod that always remains embodied in the pump casing cylinder is connected to a piston. The flexible ball mounted inside the piston construction is compressed or decompressed by the clockwise or counter clockwise rotation of the handle located at the other end of the shaft rod. Pressure is controlled in this manner. Upward and downward strokes of the piston initiate displacement and extraction of remnant.
