And Pressure Sensing Means Patents (Class 96/164)
  • Patent number: 10724923
Abstract: An Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP) testing device using a control unit connected to a gas cap vehicle interface unit. The gas cap vehicle interface unit is configured to match the required threading for the gas tank receptacle on a vehicle and has a pressure bypass port. The pressure bypass tube or channel extends through the gas cap vehicle interface unit to a pressure sensor module in the control unit. The control unit includes electronics needed to capture and transmit the pressure typically using a wireless transmission component. The control unit also includes a power switch and power indicating light. The control unit and gas cap vehicle interface unit can be combined into one unit or separate units designed to be connected to each other.

  • Patent number: 9378856
Abstract: A mobile system for intervention in an atmosphere of radioactive gas, notably tritium, which includes: a dynamic confinement device, including a removable confinement barrier to surround an intervention zone and a device for controlled extraction of air to keep the zone at a lower pressure than the exterior; a device for monitoring the radioactive gas concentration in the air of the zone; a device to detect and signal the exceedance of a predefined threshold by this concentration to the persons present in the zone.

  • Patent number: 9222311
Abstract: A subsea drilling method and system controls drilling fluid pressure in the borehole of a subsea well, and separates gas from the drilling fluid. Drilling fluid is pumped into the borehole through a drill string and returned through an annulus between the drill string and the well bore and between the drill string and a riser. Drilling fluid pressure is controlled by draining fluid out of the riser or a BOP at a level between the seabed and the surface in order to adjust the hydrostatic head of drilling fluid in the riser. The drained drilling fluid and gas is separated in a subsea separator, where the gas is vented to the surface through a vent line, and the fluid is pumped to the surface via a subsea pump. A closing device and a choke line and valve can release pressure after a gas kick in the well.

  • Patent number: 8636023
Abstract: A fire suppression wet pipe system air vent assembly and method of venting air from a fire suppression wet pipe system includes providing a primary air vent valve having an inlet and an outlet. The primary air vent inlet is adapted to be connected with a fire suppression wet pipe system and is configured to vent air, but not water, from its outlet. A secondary air vent valve having an inlet and an outlet is provided. The secondary air vent valve is configured to vent air, but not water, from its outlet. A fluid conduit connects the primary air vent valve outlet with the secondary air vent valve inlet. The second air vent valve provides failsafe air venting upon the failure of the primary air vent valve. A fluid indicator may be provided that indicates the presence of fluid in the conduit. The presence of an appreciable amount of fluid in the conduit is an indication of likely failure of the primary air vent valve.
