Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method of filtering air for use in a combustion engine. A filter is utilized that comprises a treated filter fabric and a treated filter foam. The treated filter fabric and the treated filter foam include an ionizing agent, a binder comprising guar gum and ammonium sulfate, and an organo silane quarternary amine antimicrobial. Air is directed into the treated filter fabric. As air moves through the treated filter fabric, a first set of contaminants is removed. The air is then directed into the treated filter foam, which is positioned adjacent to the treated filter fabric. As the air moves through the treated filter foam, a second set of contaminants is removed.

An intake housing is configured over the air inlet and includes an inlet opening and an outlet opening in communication with the engine compartment air inlet. The inlet opening extends above the top cover and is oriented relative to a vertical plane such that an angled air flow path is defined between the inlet opening and the outlet opening wherein air is drawn from an area above the top cover of the engine compartment and is directed into the air inlet.

By employing three independent interlayer isolation cabins, a self-circulation purification device formed of self-circulation air pipes is disposed in the main isolation cabin, and an airflow cleaning air curtain is respectively disposed between the main isolation cabin and the material input transferring cabin and also between the main isolation cabin and the material output transferring cabin. By means of air curtain isolation and self-circulation purification, the spreading of dust resulting in pollution and interference to the environment of both the processing area and the whole clean area can be avoided, which facilitates the cleanness of the pharmaceutical processing environment to meet the standard requirements in the Chinese GMP Version 2010.

  • Patent number: 8529661
Abstract: A method and apparatus for removing fine particulate matter from a fluid stream without interrupting the overall process or flow. The flowing fluid inflates and expands the flexible filter, and particulate is deposited on the filter media while clean fluid is permitted to pass through the filter. This filter is cleaned when the fluid flow is stopped, the filter collapses, and a force is applied to distort the flexible filter media to dislodge the built-up filter cake. The dislodged filter cake falls to a location that allows undisrupted flow of the fluid after flow is restored. The shed particulate is removed to a bin for periodic collection. A plurality of filter cells can operate independently or in concert, in parallel, or in series to permit cleaning the filters without shutting off the overall fluid flow. The self-cleaning filter is low cost, has low power consumption, and exhibits low differential pressures.
