Abstract: A hot beverage center that utilizes a thermostat in the handle of an electric carafe. The handle thermostat has settings to bring liquids to a precise pre-determined setting for boil, coffee, tea, and cocoa brewing. When the desired temperature is achieved, the thermostat cycles as needed to maintain the liquid at the desired temperature for any period of time. The hot beverage center also uses an interchangeable coffee press filter/tea infuser basket. This unit is designed so that a center rod attaches to a press filter that unscrews so that an interchangeable tea infuser basket can be added. The tea infuser provides that when the center rod is lifted from the top, via a knob, at the point at which the center rod clears the top, it can lay across the top, suspending the tea basket above the water in the carafe.

Abstract: Regarding a base construction comprising a hot plate for a coffee-making apparatus of the type designed to have water brought to a boil in a closed container (1), whereupon the water is pressed through a riser pipe (12) into an open container (6), where boiling water extracts aromas and flavor from the ground coffee, whereupon the finished coffee beverage is filtered back into the closed container (1) through a filter placed at the outlet of the open container, the objective is to provide a sealed base construction which comprises a hot to plate for a coffee-making apparatus where the hot plate does not suddenly boil dry, while the finished coffee beverage is carefully treated. Moreover, a reliable sealing of the hot plate must be provided, using simple means and without the use of tools.

Abstract: The present invention proposes an apparatus for making soybean milk, wherein a cover body is connected to the opening of a container, and a fixing tank is extended form the cover body toward the inside of the container. A motor is installed in the fixing tank. A reaming blade is extended from the motor. A through passage is installed downwards from a position away from the center of the cover through the fixing tank to a cup-shaped component. A fixedly-joining device is installed at the inner edge of the opening of the cup-shaped component to be correspondingly joined with a fixedly-joined device installed at the bottom end of the peripheral surface of the fixing tank. The reaming blade is placed in the cup-shaped component. The periphery of the cup-shaped component is formed to be a filtering net. An electro-thermal tube is connected from the bottom edge of the cover into the container.

  • Patent number: 6192785
Abstract: An automatic dispenser of frothed milk and pre-made liquid coffee received from refrigerated milk and pre-made liquid coffee containers that selectively delivers cold and hot Italian-style coffees, such as, cappuccino, latte, espresso, and other. The refrigeration mechanism is based in Peltier effect and has a chamber to store the milk and pre-made liquid containers which are accessible to a user. The heating mechanism includes a hot water tank and cone-shaped heat exchanger assemblies to heat the frothed milk and pre-made liquid coffee, respectively. The milk and pre-made liquid coffee are drawn by two separate pumps through fluid conduits from the refrigerated containers to the air valves to be frothed. If a user selects hot beverage, the flow is directed to the heat exchanger and then discharged through a nozzle to a cap. If a user selects cold beverage, the flow is directed to the nozzle to be discharged to the consumer.

  • Patent number: 5916351
Abstract: A beverage brewing apparatus in which all of the electrical and mechanical components necessary for a brewing operation are contained in a modular tower having a cantilevered head section at the top thereof. The modular tower is mountable directly on a supporting modular base or on a modular riser which is, in turn, mounted on a modular base to thereby allow the apparatus to accommodate a variety of beverage delivery vessels and/or brew cones. Additional supporting modules, such as warming modules, are also disclosed to provide selectable brewing apparatus configurations to meet the many needs of the user. The components of the apparatus are joined together by an interlocking assembly in which a pair of in-turned flanges on opposing sides of the bottom of an upper component are held in corresponding outwardly directed channels in a lower component. A riser plate which forms one side of an upper component is removably attached to an upward flange on a lower component to secure the components in place.
