    Abstract: An oven for the continuous baking of Arabic bread and the like. An endless mesh conveyor has gas burners adjustably positioned beneath the upper run thereof at the inlet of the oven and for more than one-half the length of the oven and a vertically adjustable overhead gas burner assembly is provided at the tail end of the oven. Venting of the interior of the oven is provided through openings in a side wall and exhaust stacks connected into the opening and extending upwardly from the top of the oven housing.

    Abstract: A method of adjusting temperature of semifluid food and successively suppng the same is disclosed. Semifluid food is contained in a number of retort-treated packs arranged along a lengthwise direction of an elongate belt and spaced apart from each other by a given distance. The belt is preserved in a constant temperature casing at a temperature suitable for giving relish to the semifluid food and delivered from the casing at the downwardly directed generally vertical pitch every time the semifluid food is demanded. Then, while the belt is held the retort pack is cut open to permit the semifluid food to flow downwardly therefrom into a dish which is served to customers. An apparatus for carrying out the method is also disclosed, which is applicable to an automatic vending machine.

    Abstract: A process for automatically preparing french fries comprising the steps of cooking french fry shaped pieces of potato dough in a hot oil contained in an imperforate container having a drum shaped basket having a perforate cylindric wall and opposed overlapping arcuate segments which rotate to provide a tumbling agitation of said pieces, to insure uniform contact with said oil, which is interrupted for a time sufficient to complete the cooking of said pieces which thereafter are drained of any excess oil prior to transferring the drained pieces to a holding area.
