Abstract: A toaster accessory for cooking hot dogs, sausages or the like is disclosed. The toaster accessory comprises a base member, one or more rectangular box like frames, one or more hollow cages and a handle. The rectangular box like frame is disposed below the base member comprises multiple sidewalls with a rectangular opening. One or more hollow cages is disposed within each rectangular box like frame. Further, the rectangular box like frame is sized to horizontally support the hollow cages. The hollow cage comprises open ends to receive the hotdog therein. The handle is disposed above the frame made of a heat resistant material. Advantageously, the present invention eases the task of cooking hot dogs by saving time and effort of the user.

Abstract: A tool for removing an interchangeable cooking insert from a grill has a handle end and an engagement end. A handle extends from the handle end toward the engagement end. A support arm extends from the handle toward the engagement end. The support arm has a first lateral edge defining a first lifting hook and a second lateral edge defining a second lifting hook. The first lifting hook and second lifting hook are configured to engage a portion of the cooking insert. A support pin extends across the support arm between the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge. A latch member is pivotally coupled to one of the support arm and the handle. The latch member includes a first end selectively engageable with a portion of the cooking insert and a second end extending through the handle for actuation of the latching member by a user.

Abstract: A containing assembly for a food product for use as a culinary tool to assist in preventing thermal injury to a user while inserting and retrieving the food product from a toaster slot, the assembly including a support assembly defining a basket for receiving and retaining the food product, and having a support frame with a u-shaped bar with two side bars and a base bar and two articulating side walls coupled to the bottom of the support frame, the rotatable side wall rotates about an axis proximate the bottom of the support frame. A stop restricts the outward rotation of the rotatable side wall at a predefined open position. A handle is fixedly coupled to one of the two side bars of the support frame and configured for inserting and retrieving the support assembly from the toaster slot with a single user hand.

Abstract: A bun heating and toasting apparatus provides at least one elongated, inverted V-shaped bun support member formed of heat conductive material, each bun support member arranged to support a partially opened hot dog bun or other elongated bakery bun over an underlying heat source for heating and toasting of the interior surface of the supported bun. The bun support members capture the heat from the heat source in an air space between the base and the apex of the interior cavity of the inverted V-shaped support members. The bun-supporting surface of the bun support members is preferably provided with a non-stick coating or is highly polished to prevent sticking. The apparatus preferably includes enclosing, peripheral side walls that may include receivers for insertion of a removable carrier handle.

Abstract: A removable toaster basket assembly to be removably received in a toasting slot of an electric pop-up toaster facilitates inserting and removing food articles in the toasting slot for toasting of the food article. The removable toaster basket assembly includes an elongate substantially planar frame for resting on an upper surface of the toaster and defines a rectangular slot therethrough. A handle extends from one end of the frame. An elongate basket is slidably received in the slot, the basket having ends and sides which define an open top for receiving a food article. A stop on the basket limits translation of the basket with respect to said frame to maintain the basket captive within the frame.

Abstract: A machine for toasting a marshmallow loaded on a pick and concurrently melting at least a portion of a chocolate bar provided on a separate support. A housing has an internal heat source, a rotatable pick holder shaped to removably and securely receive a pick and support the marshmallow in proximity to the heat source, and a coupling to rotate a so engaged pick. The coupling can be a manual control gearingly coupled to the pick holder. A moveable cover can support the heat source and place it in proximity with a marshmallow-bearing portion of the pick when in a closed position yet move aside for loading and unloading ingredients. A method for making s'mores toasts marshmallows while actively melting chocolate and provides for selective rotation of the marshmallow within the housing during the toasting step by moving a control that is safely disposed exterior of the housing.

Abstract: A cage for holding a filling material includes a housing have a first part and a second part. An orifice is defined between the first part and the second part for holding a filling material. The housing is shaped in a manner such that is it insertable inside a cavity and has an open position in which filling material may be inserted into the orifice. The housing also has a closed position in which the filling material is trapped within the orifice. The housing is cage-like for holding the filling material. The housing may include a handle, hinges for joining the first and second parts, and a latching mechanism for latching the first and second parts together.

Abstract: A portable cooking apparatus is light, packable, compatible with back-country hiking, and is multi-functional for use over a heat source. An arm of the apparatus may elongate and shorten and may have an attachment system on the arm that allows the attachment of a plurality of food and drink holding attachments. The attachments may be coupled to a strap connected to a handle. The handle may include a compartment for holding parts of the apparatus or other articles so that the apparatus may be disassembled and stowed. A rotisserie mode enables rotation of food over an open flame. A rotisserie handle can be releasably coupled to the apparatus handle. The rotisserie handle can be placed in a locked condition to prevent rotation in a variety of cooking positions. A pivoting arm stabilizer enables cooking food to be horizontally pivoted to and from the heat source.

In addition to a lower heated metal surface having several cooking zones, which may be delineated by vertical barriers or splash plates, the system includes an upper assembly comprising an upper member in which a radiant heating element is positioned, said assembly being adapted to fit over the back splash plate of the grill and extending the depth (back to front) of the grill, and further adapted to be raised or lowered and selectively raised or lowered as well as positioned by a sliding motion above a designated zone in predetermined sequence.

Abstract: A grill assembly for cooking food items over a heat source includes a grill body capable of holding the food items and at least one grill body handle having a grip end and a grill body engagement end. The grill body is provided with a handle engagement structure which is adapted to rotatably hold the grill body engagement end of the grill body handle so as to allow the grill body to be turned over on the handle while holding the grip end of the handle. The handle engagement structure of the grill is preferably provided in the form of handle insertion structure such as one or more insertion sleeves on the periphery of the grill body. Suitably two spaced apart handles are provided which rotatably engage the grill body whereby the grill body can be turned over on the two handles without the user altering his or her grip on the handles.

Abstract: A compact and lightweight personal pod making system is provided. The pod making system has a base for receiving a pod packaging material and a sealing tool pivotably connected to the base. The system can be used at home, in the office and even outdoors. A pod package assembly that can be used in conjunction with the personal pod making system is also provided. The pod package assembly can include a cup-like holder that is hingedly connected to a cover so that it is relatively easy for users to align the cover when sealing the pod.

A hinge at the front of the lid and a handle at the opposite end facilitate manual oscillation of the lid during the deep frying process to achieve a high percentage of chips of uniform high quality, both in terms of uniform cooking and chips having sufficient curls to form a chip functionally useful for holding dipped food and also aesthetically pleasing.

Abstract: A barbecue cooking tool with a pair of hand holdable implements. The implements are configured so as to be capable to firmly hold an entire rack of ribs therebetween during a barbecue grilling process without the ribs separating and falling apart. The tool also includes a clasping mechanism for holding the implements together about the ribs. In one embodiment, the implements of the barbecue cooking tool are separable from one another during normal use and include a first implement and an second implement. Both of the implements have spaced apart rods. The spaced apart rods of the first implement are connected by a connecting rod at one end and by a raised portion on the other end. The spaced rods of the second implement are connected by rounded portions at both ends thereof. The clasping mechanism includes one rounded end of the second implement inserted beneath the raised portion of the first implement.

Abstract: A rotatable handle for use with an associated cookware item including an attachment member having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being rotatably secured to a first portion of the cookware item and the distal end having a gripping member disposed thereon. The first portion also includes a handle locking member. Abstract: Cookware includes a cooking vessel; a transparent lid adapted to cover the vessel; and a knob attached to the lid, which knob is adapted to receive a temperature probe, wherein the temperature probe extends into the cookware vessel. The transparent lid permits one to accurately position the temperature probe inside food in the vessel. The knob may be offset from the center of the lid to facilitate positioning of the probe. Particularly while cooking at low temperatures, the transparent lid and temperature probe permits one to more precisely observe the temperature of the food. This results in improved cooking by avoiding either undercooking or overcooking the food.

In the resting position, the bottom portions of the first mold half and second mold half are in mechanical interference with each other, held in place by the lateral force created by the mold half securement device. The mold half securement device is used to separate the bottom portions of the first mold half and second mold half so as to facilitate the insertion of a traditional taco within.

Attached to said second end, co-axial with said basket, is handle means which support the basket on the barbecue and provide a handle for removing the basket from the barbecue after cooking. The handle means consists of a rod centrally attached to said second end of the basket with a insulated handle attached to the distal end of the rod. A hinged cover is provided with latch means that can be operated while the basket is hot without burning the operator's fingers.

Abstract: A handheld, rotatable food roasting apparatus for use in supporting food over a campfire or the like includes a cylindrical receptacle including opposed axial ends, an open interior space, and an opening formed in one of the axial ends through which food may be placed into and removed from the interior space. An elongated handle is attached to the receptacle for allowing the apparatus to be supported and rotated over the source of heat. In order to facilitate transportation of the device, the handle may be sectioned.

Abstract: A rack for cooking barbecued ribs includes a plurality of curved legs which generally conform to the shape of the ribs. The legs are welded perpendicularly to a single longitudinal member. A handle attached to the longitudinal member makes it possible to manipulate the rack. The length of the curved legs decreases as the distance from the handle increases, thereby giving the rack a tapered form. Ribs barbecued on the rack cook quickly and evenly due to the improved distribution and concentration of heat.

Abstract: A removable handle for a barbecue basket having an attached mounting bracket with spaced apart flange portions, each flange portion having an opening of a predetermined shape. The handle comprises elongated tong arms connected together by an integral flexible portion at one end with a projection at an outer unconnected end of each said tong arm. The projection is shaped in cross-section so as to extend and seat within the flange openings in the mounting bracket so as to retain the handle at different selected angles relative to the basket. A spring urges the tong arms apart so that the end projections will be held in engagement with the mounting bracket when placed within the bracket openings.

Abstract: Food handling tongs include opposed upper and lower plates mounted for pivotal movement between opened and closed positions. The upper plate is provided with a plurality of circular apertures surrounded by upwardly facing frusto conical portions. The lower plate is provided with a plurality of similar apertures, each surrounded by downwardly facing frusto conical portions. In use, a grease or fat containing food, such as a hamburger patty, is pressed between the upper and lower plates, causing the fat and grease to be squeezed out of the food and be directed out through the apertures in the upper and lower plates. This reduces the fat contents of the food, providing a healthier diet. A pair of drip pan attachments may optionally be utilized with the upper and lower plates to collect the extracted fat and grease.

Abstract: A cooking implement for toasting and similar purposes has an elongated handle and a pivotally mounted food holding member which comprises a pair of legs extending from a pivotal mounting to respective foot portions from which respective arms extend to lie adjacent the respective portions of the legs whereby food can be held between the respective arms and legs and the foot portions are such that the legs are resiliently displaceable in a transverse direction extending from one leg towards the other and the respective arms and legs are resiliently displaceable away from each other; the foot portions are sufficiently spaced in the transverse direction to provide stable support for the food holding member when it rests on a supporting surface. The food holding member can be made from a single thin rod, for example of stainless steel with the foot portions formed from respective curved loops of relatively large radius of curvature.

Abstract: A holder for food as it is barbecued over an open charcoal bed, the holder consisting of a clamp comprising a pair of open grids linked pivotally together at their forward edges and having elongated handles projecting from their rearward edges whereby they may be opened for the insertion of food therebetween, and closed to clamp the food therebetween, and a sliding connector joining the handles and movable to close the grids forcibly together to clamp the food securely, and to secure them in the closed position.

Abstract: A rotating cooking spatula for use in the cooking and turning of items of food such as eggs, hamburgers, and the like. When cooking and/or frying foods, the rotating spatula device of this invention would be used to pick up the food item. The user then by operating appropriate control mechanism rotates in turn the especially configured spatula receptacle with cover top approximately 180.degree. in order to turn the food item over. The item of food then can be slid out of the spatula tray back on to the frying surface. However, the spatula tray itself may be used to retain the food item and also to effect the cooking thereof. One embodiment uses a rotatable knob together with a 180.degree. limit stop structure. Another embodiment employs a slide and helical thread structure to effect the 180.degree. turning of the spatula tray structure. The third embodiment employs a slide knob together with rack and pinion structure connected to the slide knob by a flexible cable in order to effect the turning function.
