Abstract: A roaster for roasting food over a campfire is disclosed. The roaster may include one or more prongs located at the roaster forward end, a knob located at the roaster rear end, a rod attached to the knob, a dispensing plate slideably mounted on the prong(s) and attached to the rod, a longitudinal tube attached to the prong(s), a forward handle, a rear handle, and a spring between the knob and the rear handle and surrounding the rod. The rod may pass fully through the forward and rear handles and the longitudinal tube. The longitudinal tube may pass fully through the forward handle and only partially through the rear handle. Moving the knob and attached rod forwardly may cause the dispensing plate to move along the prong(s). The rear handle, the longitudinal tube, the prong(s), and the dispensing plate rotate relative to the forward handle.

Abstract: A cooking device (1) for cooking foods on a barbecue includes a support frame provided with two longitudinal members (12) and at least one food-holding grill (10) pivoted between the longitudinal members (12). The cooking device (1) is provided with a control transmission formed by at least one sprocket (14, 305, 425) connected to the grill (10) and engaged with a chain (15, 302, 303, 424), the chain (15) being actuated by a motor (16) controlled by a timer (17) for automatically inverting the grill (10) around the corresponding axis of rotation (X). The control transmission is adapted to mechanically and periodically invert the grid (10), allowing a uniform cooking of the food.

Abstract: A cooking assembly for chambered cooking of food items with an open flame includes a pair of boxes that is hingedly coupled. Each box has a first face that is open and adjacently positionable to define a cooking space. A shaft is pivotally coupled to and extends substantially perpendicularly from the boxes. A first handle is slidably coupled to the shaft. Each of a pair of rods is pivotally coupled to and extends between the first handle and a second face of a respective box. A holder configured to hold food items is coupled to the shaft and extends into the cooking space. The boxes are configured to close around the food items when the first handle is motivated toward the boxes, such that the food items are confined in the cooking space. The shaft is configured to position the cooking space proximate to an open flame.

Abstract: A cooking implement is provided. The cooking implement provides a grilling basket having opposing gridirons adapted to support and/or suspend food therein. The gridirons are pivotally connected and include locking handles for securing the basket around the food therein. The cooking implement further includes a drip pan adapted to hold the grilling basket thereon and catch fluids released by the foods being cooked in the grilling basket.

Abstract: A flip top grill assembly includes an assembly base, a pair of linkage assemblies carried by the assembly base, a grill cage carried by the pair of linkage assemblies and positional between a first position and a second position inverted with respect to the first position and at least one handle operably engaging at least one of the pair of linkage assemblies and adapted to facilitate pivoting of the grill cage between the first position and the second position responsive to manipulation of the handle.

Abstract: A flipping grilling grate includes a primary grate member with a food contact surface and four pivot posts formed in diametrically opposed pairs. The grilling grate also includes a secondary grate member with a food contact surface 7and four pivot post formed in diametrically opposed pairs. A first pair of opposed pivot posts on the primary grate member mate with a first pair of opposed pivot posts on the secondary grate member and a second pair of opposed pivot posts on the primary grate member mate with a second pair of opposed pivot posts on the secondary grate member when the primary and secondary grate members are assembled together.

Abstract: An accessory for a barbecue grill which automatically flips food over 180 degrees at desired intervals, and which allows the food to rest essentially on the existing grill rack surface when cooking. The system includes a food support rack, rack mounts, linkage, motor control and motor mount with a motor and an L-shaped drive shaft. The food support rack includes lower and upper racks of open mesh, with the food to be cooked placed therebetween. The rack mounts provide for rotatable movement of the food support rack and are located on an axis essentially coincident with one of the longitudinal edges of the food support rack. The linkage attaches the drive shaft to the food support rack. The linkage attaches the drive shaft to the food support rack and is adjustable to accommodate grills having a varying dimension from the grill rack surface to the top edge of the grill lateral wall.

Abstract: A barbecue stove includes a body with a hole and a grease plate. The hole is formed on the bottom of the body. The body further includes a frame around the hole and secured with the body. A receive space is formed between the frame and the bottom of the body for receiving the grease plate. A plurality of pivots are fixed on the bottom of the body. Two feet are pivotally connected with the pivots individually. The grease plate includes a bent portion. When the barbecue stove is in use, the grease plate can be mounted on the frame by the bent portion. When the barbecue stove is not in use, the grease plate can be locked by the feet.

Abstract: A grill assembly for cooking food items over a heat source includes a grill body capable of holding the food items and at least one grill body handle having a grip end and a grill body engagement end. The grill body is provided with a handle engagement structure which is adapted to rotatably hold the grill body engagement end of the grill body handle so as to allow the grill body to be turned over on the handle while holding the grip end of the handle. The handle engagement structure of the grill is preferably provided in the form of handle insertion structure such as one or more insertion sleeves on the periphery of the grill body. Suitably two spaced apart handles are provided which rotatably engage the grill body whereby the grill body can be turned over on the two handles without the user altering his or her grip on the handles.

Abstract: A novel grill top cooking tool is provided that contains and cooks food on a grill surface. The grilling tool is comprised of a main body with removable perforated or slotted end caps that are secured to either edge of the main body. An attaching device allows for connection of a detachable tool to place the grilling tool on a hot surface and for turning the grilling tool during the cooking process and removing the grilling tool when finished cooking.

Abstract: A rotatable handle for use with an associated cookware item including an attachment member having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being rotatably secured to a first portion of the cookware item and the distal end having a gripping member disposed thereon. The first portion also includes a handle locking member. A locking mechanism is slidably disposed on the attachment member between the gripping member and the proximal end, the locking mechanism being arranged and configured to engage the handle locking member and being slidable between a first position and a second position. When the locking mechanism is in the first position, the handle is rotatable relative to the first portion. When the locking mechanism is in the second position, the locking mechanism engages the handle locking member, thereby securing the handle relative to the cookware item.

Abstract: A rotisserie cooking apparatus is provided that includes a housing defining a cavity. A heating element apparatus is positioned within the housing for heating food articles. A detachable cooking rack is configured for support of the food articles and has at least a portion thereof being movably disposed within the cavity such that the food articles are movable relative to the heating element apparatus. The housing may include a grease tray configured for collection of a portion of the food articles. The grease tray may be configured for boiling a substance such that the substance cooks at least a portion of the food articles. The cooking apparatus may include a control unit operatively coupled to the heating element apparatus for controlling operation thereof. The control unit includes a display mounted to an outer surface of the housing. The detachable cooking rack can be supported by the housing for rotational movement such that at least a portion of the detachable cooking rack rotates through the cavity.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus for alternately cooking, broiling, or grilling foods in a single vessel. The apparatus includes a bottom pan portion which is supported by a lower frame portion. An upper frame is pivotally supported from the bottom pan portion. A top portion is provided, wherein the top portion is pivotally affixed to the upper frame. The top portion includes a reversible combination lid portion and a grille portion. The grille portion of the top portion is the inner wall surface of the lid portion, and is thus located in the upper reaches of the lid portion when the lid portion is in a cooking position. When the top portion is rotated one hundred eighty (180) degrees, the grille portion provides an upwardly exposed grille surface for food preparation. The top portion is shaped suitable for nesting in the bottom pan portion when the upper frame is returned to a normal, grille cooking position.

Abstract: A food roasting apparatus is disclosed, comprising a pot having: a base wall and a cylindrical sidewall contiguous therewith, the base wall and sidewall defining a pot surface, the sidewall surrounding a central pot axis and extending upwardly from the base wall to terminate in a rim encircling an upper pot opening; two gas burners; a cradle for supporting the pot above the burners in selectively removable relation, with the base wall positioned downwardly from the pot opening and the pot axis angled with respect to horizontal, for rotation of the pot about the pot axis; and a motor for effecting the rotation of the pot.

Abstract: A grill which can be used to cook a variety of items with chicken being the preferred item. The grill has a rotating cooking surface in the shape of a wheel and the items to be cooked are placed around the circumference of the wheel. The heat source is positioned along the axis of the wheel and there is a grease shield positioned to catch grease drippings from food items on the wheel. In addition a supply of barbecue sauce is positioned adjacent the lowest portion of the wheel so the food items to be cooked will pass through the sauce as the wheel rotates.

Abstract: The invention relates to a barbecue with a flat barbecue food carrier swiveling by means of a motor and a lifting and/or lowering device for changing the spacing of the barbecue food carrier from a heating device at least while turning the barbecue food carrier, with a combined turning as well as lifting device consisting of a lifting arm and swivel arms swiveling by means of a drive being provided, which are connected with the barbecue food carrier, the fulcrums of the swivel and lifting arms being spaced from each other in favor of a swiveling and rotary movement of the barbecue food carrier with simultaneous movement of the lifting and swivel arms, the lifting and swivel arms being provided with guide elements engaged with each other for at least part of the path of motion of the lifting and swivel arms in foavour of the force guidance of the swivel arm.

Abstract: A first rack is connectable to a second rack to form a rack assembly adapted to hold food between the first rack and the second rack. A base is adapted to provide a source of heat to food placed between the first rack and the second rack. The base includes a fulcrum about which the rack assembly is able to pivot from a first position wherein the first rack is above the second rack to a second position wherein the second rack is above the first rack.

Abstract: A meat roasting device having an automatically rotated barbecue grill mainly comprising: a furnace frame, a barbecue grill, and a driving device, wherein said driving device is fixed on the support plate of the furnace frame, and is engageable with a barbecue grill having an elastic clamping force by a driving bushing. When the driving device rotates, the barbecue grill may be driven to rotate by the driving bushing in the furnace frame.

Abstract: A microwave-oven, cooking kit to brown, edge-heat and remove fat from meat and to crust bread that includes: (1) one or more flat metal plates, (2) two microwave-oven browning grills, (3) a by-product collection chamber and (3) apparatus to secure, manipulate, compress together and transport these members. These cooking members may be employed individually or in various combinations. The two microwave-oven browning grills are designed to be employed vertically and horizontally. In operation, when vertical, melted fat and other liquid by-products are removed by gravity and compression.

Abstract: A brazier for cooking foodstuffs includes a support for the foodstuffs that is mounted on a swivelling frame in such a way as to be able to turn around its own axis, in front of a source of heat, when operated by a drive mechanism. The swivelling frame turns around an axis that is placed at a certain distance from, and parallel to, the axis of the support, and the support is attached to a cross bar whose end parts move alternately along a fixed track when the support is turned around its axis. This causes the frame to swivel around its own axis.

Abstract: A cooking apparatus for alternately cooking, broiling, or grilling foods in a single vessel. The apparatus includes a lower pan portion which is supported by a lower frame portion. An upper frame portion is pivotally supported from the lower pan portion. A upper lid portion is provided, wherein the lid portion is pivotally affixed to the upper frame portion. The lid portion includes a top portion and a grille portion. The grille portion of the lid is the inner wall surface of the top portion, and is thus located in the upper reaches of the lid portion when the lid portion is in a cooking position. When the lid is rotated one hundred eighty (180) degrees, the grille portion provides an upwardly exposed grille surface for food preparation. The lid portion is shaped suitable for nesting in the bottom portion when the upper frame portion is returned to a normal cooking position.

Abstract: A gridiron (1) is movable both vertically and horizontally and can thus be moved in space with a single handle. A locking device consisting of a simple screw or clampdevice may be provided to securely hold the gridiron in a determined position. The movability of the gridiron (1) is achieved using a parallelogram device (9-16) by means of which the gridiron (1) remains horizontal in all positions. The disclosed gridiron design allows food to be placed and removed from the gridiron much more easily and also the cooking stage of individual parts of the grilled foods to be checked. In addition, the grilled foods can be swivelled to a serving, so that the guest may choose the piece they wish. The gridiron (1) is provided with a holding device (17-20) which can be mounted either directly on a garden grill or on a separate stand.

Abstract: A cooker apparatus for simultaneously cooking fajitas in a pan while barbecuing on a grill. The apparatus has an upwardly opening chamber supported at the bottom thereof, and a burner for heating is contained inside of the chamber. The grill is supported inside of the chamber above the burner; and, a special pan that slopes towards the center forms a protective cover when in one position and can be inverted to form a frying pan within which fajitas can be cooked when in another position. The pan is supported at the upper end of the chamber and can be elevated to form an adjustable flue area by which the escape of heat from the chamber is controlled. The pan is pivotally supported for movement towards and away from the chamber to allow access to the interior of the chamber.

Abstract: A grill apparatus to be used in conjunction with ovens that include a heat source and an upper opening. The grill apparatus is rotably mounted within a support frame that is pivotally mounted to the oven so that it can be brought within the opening and expose it to the heat source or separated from the heat source, as desired. A wire mesh for each one of the two identical grill assemblies is provided to sandwich the foodstuff and hold it securely in place while it is rotated to expose both sides to the heat source. A stopper is provided to keep the support frame assembly in the vertical position and flanges are provided to keep it resting in the horizontal position.

Abstract: The method of frying meat, poultry, sea food, vegetables and the like wherein food is fried on one side and then all such food (which may consist of a multiplicity of discrete pieces) is inverted in unison and the other side of the food is then fried. Practice of the method is facilitated by the provision of a pair of hingedly connected holders for releasably holding food therebetween. The holders are perforated and have separate handles that enable a user to open and close the holders as well as to selectively position the holders in a a fry pan in an upright and an inverted position.

Abstract: A sausage heating machine. A plurality of baskets mounted on a framework of the machine turn with the framework. Each basket has guide members for supporting a sausage. Each guide member includes a main portion on which the sausage can roll as the framework turns. The sausage can fall crosswise of the guide member at leading end portions of the guide members. Hook shaped trailing edge portions of the guide members catch and hold the sausage when the sausage has fallen. Radiant heat is projected crosswise of the framework to heat and cook the sausage as the framework turns.

Abstract: A barbecue apparatus for roasting food such as meat, vegetables or the like over a bed of coals, is disclosed. The apparatus is adapted to automatically turn the food from time to time, by converting heat energy transferred from the bed of coals to an expansion member or from the expansion member to the atmosphere, to potential energy which is temporarily stored in a spring and released therefrom upon operation of a trigger mechanism, to alternately turn the food from a first position to a second position and vice versa.

Abstract: A cooking implement for toasting and similar purposes has an elongated handle and a pivotally mounted food holding member which comprises a pair of legs extending from a pivotal mounting to respective foot portions from which respective arms extend to lie adjacent the respective portions of the legs whereby food can be held between the respective arms and legs and the foot portions are such that the legs are resiliently displaceable in a transverse direction extending from one leg towards the other and the respective arms and legs are resiliently displaceable away from each other; the foot portions are sufficiently spaced in the transverse direction to provide stable support for the food holding member when it rests on a supporting surface. The food holding member can be made from a single thin rod, for example of stainless steel with the foot portions formed from respective curved loops of relatively large radius of curvature.

Abstract: A flip-over drive system for a removable oven rotisserie comprising drive means, gear train means driven by the drive means, cam means mechanically coupled to the gear train means for rotation in response to the driving of the gear train means by the drive means, escapement means position for periodic engagement with the cam means, socket means mechanically coupled to the escapement means, the socket means being configured to receive a rotisserie shaft therein, whereupon the socket means and the rotisserie shaft upon being received therein are rotated to a first predetermined angular position upon engagement of the escapement means with the cam means and remain in the first predetermined angular position for a predetermined dwell period until the cam means re-engages the escapement means whereupon the socket means and the rotisserie shaft are rotated to a second predetermined angular position and remain in the second predetermined angular position for a predetermined dwell period.

Abstract: A mobile barbecue apparatus is disclosed which comprises a firebox having wheels thereon with turnable receptacles for holding items to be cooked mounted above the firebox. The food containing receptacles are adjustable in width to accommodate different sized items such as steaks, chickens, ribs, etc., which are to be cooked. Preferably the top of the apparatus comprises a removable table having legs positioned at the edges which can be rotated into storage position or into table defining position.
