Abstract: A unique outdoor full function cooking appliance including a cart, a grill fixedly mounted on the cart and having a hemispherical body and a lid, two ring burners one disposed within the other, mounted within the hemispherical body, a flame tamer arranged within the hemispherical body and located above the two ring burners, a supporting mount fitted in a central portion of the flame tamer, a circular disc, and a cooking wire grid mounted with the hemispherical body and located above the supporting mount, whereby the cooking appliance combines the functions of barbecue gas grill, stove and oven in one unit thereby enabling it to be used with other cooking wares for making soup, sauce, frying dishes, and vegetable in addition to barbecuing.

Abstract: A dome cover for cooking utensils, including a dome-like cover body made from a meshed steel plate by stamping and defining a plurality of small open spaces in it, and a knob raised from the top center of the dome-like cover body, the dome-like cover body having a stepped outward flange around the border, which stepped outward flange has a rim around the border reinforced by a steel wire.

Abstract: Arcuate shield segments form a collar around the perimeter of a frying pan cooking surface while suspended within the pan side walls for containing splattering grease within the fry pan. Tabs extending from lower edge portions of the shield segments permit attachment to pans having various size openings. Multiple shield segments are removably attached to each other and aligned to surround the pan cooking surface. The segments are removably attached such that a handle removes all segments simultaneously or a single segment when access through the shield wall is desired. Each segment is dimensioned for convenience in cleaning and storage of the multiple segments.

Abstract: A spatter shielding and vapor venting device for a frying pan comprising a transparent lid to enable visual observation of cooking, a peripheral venting gap to release generated fumes and vapors, a vertical hollow cylindrical wall to rapidly return condensed oil to frying pan, a handle to hold the device steady, a horizontal flange to facilitate placement on rims of frying pans of varying sizes, a vertical cylindrical flange to restrict lateral motion and to shield the contact area between the horizontal flange and frying pan rim, a vertical window opening for the introduction, removal, stirring and turning over of food, a hands-free opening and automatic closing window cover means to effectively shield the window opening even while performing said cooking operations.

Abstract: A barbecue grill includes a fire bowl for supporting a plurality of grids, two pairs of legs extending from the fire bowl for supporting the barbecue grill above the ground, a lid with a grip in the center, top portion thereof, a resilient handle secured on the opposite sides of the fire bowl via two fixation blocks each defining an L-shaped channel for receiving the handle and an aperture in the corner of the L-shaped channel for the handle to extend therethrough and couple with the fire bowl so that a user may expand the resilient handle and pivotally adjust a position of the handle and the lid may be retained in a vertical position among the fire bowl, one pair of the legs, and the handle when the handle is in a horizontal position.

Abstract: A vented lid for baking and frying on a flat pan is provided. The vented lid includes a glass frustro-conically shaped lid having a centrally located ventilating hole at the top. The frustro-conical wall inclines at a 47 degree angle and includes a handle secured to an outer surface of the lid. An oil gathering plate having a large through hole formed in the center and having a recess formed around the through hole. Several reverse S-shaped hooks are formed on the perimeter of the flange of the plate to secure a flange of the glass lid thereto. A slit is formed between the flange of the glass lid and the plate when they are coupled together. During cooking, cool air enters through the slit and hot air rises out through the central ventilating hole.

Abstract: An onion peeling device comprised of a shield having an open lower end and a rounded upper end. The open lower end has a slot formed therein extending upwardly therefrom. The slot has an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion has a width greater than the lower portion. The slot forms edges on opposing sides thereof. The shield is adapted to receive an onion within the open lower end thereof. The shield serves to protect a user's eyes from juices produced when slicing the onion. A rubber strip is secured to the edges of the slot of the shield. The rubber strip is adapted to secure a knife blade within the slot to be used on an onion within the shield.

Abstract: A pie crust baking shield for protecting the outer edge portion of pie crust while a pie is being baked. The device may be provided either pre-formed into a ring with unconnected ends or straight for packaging purposes. Both embodiments are flexibly deformable to fit around a range of pie crust diameters and include an upright continuous flange portion and a plurality of side by side generally horizontal flange segments extending orthogonally from the upright flange portion. The free ends of the shield are releasibly connectable in overlapping fashion against one another to define a plurality of preselected pie diameters. In use, the horizontal flange segments are supported atop the pie crust edge to define a continuous shield thereover which prevents burning the edge of the pie during baking.

Abstract: A covered cutting board assembly for outdoor use includes a cutting board having a cutting surface, a truss structure attachable to the cutting board forming a support structure for a transparent or semi-transparent cover which encloses the truss structure and cutting board. The cover is structured with at least one opening, closeable by a flap securable thereto, to permit insertion of user's hands therethrough to access the cutting surface. The cover remains in position over the cutting surface to provide protection to food prepared and served on the cutting surface, but allows access to the cutting board as needed. The cutting board assembly also includes a waterproof top sized to fit over the cover to prevent entry of moisture. The top also may have an opening to provide access to the cutting surface for use of the cutting board in rain or snow, and the top may have insulative properties to retain heat within the disclosure.

Abstract: A food mixer is provided with a bowl guard consisting of a fixed first semi-cylindrical splash guard portion and a removable semi-cylindrical second see-through portion pivotable about a cylindrical mixer transmission. The second portion is suspended from the transmission by spaced guide shoes mounted on a circumferential ring at the upper end of the pivotable portion. The shoes slidingly engage a fixed track extending horizontally and circumferentially around the transmission portion. The improvement consists of the track being provided as an essentially continuous bead formed in a cylindrical sheet metal band covering the transmission portion. The bead is integral with the band and may be created by rolling or spinning it into the band with metal forming tools.

Abstract: A conical receptacle for supporting a cone is provided with a shield mounted in a slide for variable extension relative to the receptacle. The slide is mounted on a portion of a cylinder affixed to the receptacle with a protrusion on the slide being provided for manipulation by a user.

Abstract: A food slicing method and apparatus includes blades mounted on a shaft for rotation therewith, the blades successively converging and diverging to slice the food pieces as the shaft rotates. An inlet flume conveys the food pieces to and through the rotating blades. A flighted conveyor within the flume submerges the food pieces at the flume inlet and releases them at the bottom of the flume to float upward, oriented according to their buoyancy before entering the blades. In one embodiment, the blades are mounted on a curved shaft which rotates about a longitudinal axis of symmetry to cause the blades to converge on the inward side of the shaft and diverge on the outward side. The blades engage a synchronously counterrotating drum to slice the food pieces as they enter on the inward side of the shaft. As the blades diverge, the majority of the slices fall free of the blades.

Abstract: An open framework rack has shoulders of progressively greater width for supporting within the rack cooking receptacles of progressively greater width one spaced above the other for efficient steam cooking within a steam chamber. The rack desirably comprises wireform risers providing stepped terraces. A plurality of connecting rings secure the risers in the rack. A multichannel/rib adapter is adapted for supporting a cooking receptacle on the rack or on the bottom of a steam chamber. The rack is adapted for handling by upstanding ears thereon or by a bail removably engaging the ears.

Abstract: A storage and serving dish particularly constructed to retain a foodstuff of a generally unstable consistency and more particularly camembert cheese. The dish includes a dam or holder for product which is articulated and adapted to engage the severed portions of a cheese block positioned on a base member of the dish. Such dam includes means to removably fix one portion thereof to the base while another portion is freely movable to alternative positions within the circumference of the base. In addition, the freely positionable dam portion is also fixedly positioned by engagement with the dish closure when such is placed thereon.
