Abstract: A washer for use in building construction having an outer side having an upper surface defined by an upper wall, an underside opposite the outer side, and a perimeter. A central aperture extends from the outer side to the underside, with an alignment surface extending inwardly and downwardly relative to the central aperture with the alignment surface configured to be contacted by a nose stem of a fastener gun. A central chamfer is disposed at the central aperture and is configured to mate with the head of a fastener driven by the fastener gun. The upper surface of the outer side comprises a conical portion extending from the perimeter, with the alignment surface extending inwardly and downwardly to the central chamfer.
