Abstract: An earwax removal device may include a collector body in the shape of a helix. The collector body may have a lumen that accommodate a control line. The control line may have one end fixed to a distal tip of the helix, and a free end extending from an opening in the proximal end of the helix. The collector body may be removably mounted on the shaft of a handle assembly. The handle assembly may include an actuator mounted for pivot action on the shaft. The free end of the control line may be connectable to the actuator. The collector body and the handle assembly may be inserted into an ear speculum. The ear speculum may be screw coupled to the handle assembly to provide for controlled rotation and insertion of the collector body into an ear canal. The actuator may be pulled in a proximal direction to collapse the collector body and capture earwax that has been scraped from the ear canal.
Abstract: A jewelry item includes an ornament, a coil with a plurality of turns, and a pad. The pad includes a central bore configured for receiving the helical coil. A compressive force between adjacent turns of the helical coil couples the jewelry item to a body part. The jewelry item can be an earring.
Abstract: A secure interchangeable charm earring system, for use with pieced ears, includes an earring body from which a charm hangs. Numerous charms having different ornamental forms can be interchanged on the earring, each having a charm opening. The earring has a body having a free end, a blocked end larger than the charm opening, and an apex portion therebetween. A spiraling middle portion extends between the apex portion and the free end, and a vertical piece extends between the apex portion and the blocked end. When the charm is brought into contact with the blocked end, the charm is not permitted to pass over the blocked end. When the earring is in place within the pieced ear hole, the earring hangs down from the pieced ear, with the apex portion extending through the hole. The charm is then maintained securely on the earring between the blocked end and the pieced ear.
Abstract: An ear ornament allowing attachment to an ear lobe containing more than one hole pierced therethrough. The ornament contains two or more bent portions for extension through the holes on the ear lobe allowing the ear ornament to be secured on the ear lobe without the need for a separate fastening means.
Abstract: An earring for pierced ears includes a central pendant portion to hang down from the ear, a curved apex portion extending from the top of the pendant portion, and a spiral portion integral with and extending down from the apex portion. The spiral portion has at least one spiral revolution which surrounds the central pendant portion. Both the pendant portion and the spiral portion provide ornamentation in the earring, while the spiral portion also acts as a hanger wire for the earring, having a lower end which is inserted through the ear so that the earring is rotated spirally until the apex portion hangs in the ear.
