Abstract: A caring device includes an adjustment command section configured to give a command for an adjustment of a standing start position of a support member, a standing operation command section configured to give a command for assistance of the standing operation using the support member, and a control device. The control device perform a cooperative operation of the first arm and the second arm so that the support member moves in an up-down direction when a command of the adjustment command section is received. The control device performs a cooperative operation of the first arm and the second arm so that a reference position of the support member moves along different movement trajectories in accordance with the standing start position adjusted by the command of the adjustment command section when a command of the standing operation command section is received.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a base support having a support element portion and an encasement portion. The support element portion has a first end portion, a second end portion and a top surface disposed at an angle relative to a bottom surface. The second end portion has a height greater than the first end portion. A support pillow member is fixedly coupled to the base support between at least a portion of the encasement portion and at least a portion the second end portion of the support element portion. The support pillow member, the support element portion and the encasement portion collectively define an interior region that includes a receiving portion configured to receive at least a portion of a user's arm therein.

Abstract: One example method includes receiving a transaction at a digital twin that incorporates all transactions that have occurred at a site from which the transaction was received, and wherein the digital twin was created based in part on a data confidence fabric ledger, entering the transaction in the data confidence fabric ledger at the digital twin, receiving another transaction at the digital twin, wherein the another transaction has caused a problem to occur, entering the another transaction in the data confidence fabric ledger, replaying any transactions that have occurred in a defined time window that includes the another transaction, based on the replaying, identifying a state of a system where the problem occurred, and a time when the problem occurred, and determining a resolution to the problem.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are external fixation frames for correcting bone deformities. The external fixation frames include a top fixation ring and a bottom fixation ring coupled to one another by at least two struts. A half ring is coupled to bottom fixation ring. The bottom fixation ring is u-shaped. One or more rocker members may be coupled to the bottom fixation ring. The half ring may be hingedly coupled to the bottom fixation ring such that it can rotate with respect to the bottom fixation ring from a first position to a second position.

Abstract: A sheet assembly includes a sheet having an edge and a pocket extending longitudinally along the edge. A plurality of loops are arranged along the edge and extend from openings formed in the pocket of the sheet. An adjustment webbing is slidably positioned within the pocket. At least a portion of each loop of the plurality of loops is anchored to the adjustment webbing such that sliding the adjustment webbing along the pocket pulls the plurality of loops into the pocket and reduces an exposed length of the plurality of loops.
