Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic tire which is capable of securing a driving stability on dry road surfaces and concurrently of improving snow performance without worsening its pattern noise. The pneumatic tire includes four main grooves each extending in its tread part in a tire circumferential direction, and the four main grooves partition the tread part into: a center land part; paired intermediate land parts located with the center land part being interposed in between; and paired shoulder land parts located with the center land part and the paired intermediate land parts being interposed in between. Each of the intermediate land parts and the shoulder land parts includes multiple V-shaped grooves each configured of: a thick groove part extending in a tire width direction; and a thin groove part extending in the tire circumferential direction.
Abstract: A pneumatic tire provided with a plural of non-linear ridges 11 in a side wall region, wherein ridges 11 are composed of two or more non-linear ridge groups with different shapes and at least one ridge extends from a rim line R to H 80 which is a position corresponding to 0.8 H when tire height from a rim line to a tire maximum outside diameter is defined as H.
Abstract: The pneumatic tire 1 is provided with a land part 4 in a sidewall region S of a tire and a plurality of marks 11 protruding from a side wall surface, wherein at least one of the marks 11 partially overlaps with the land part 4 and an area of a portion 12 where a mark is overlapped is not greater than 40% with respect to the total area of a mark. In addition, the number of the marks 11 partially overlapping with the land part 4 is not greater than 60 % with respect to the total number of marks. Further, protruded height of the mark 11 from the side wall surface 21 is not greater than 3 mm.
Abstract: An apparatus for enhancing the light reflective properties of a sidewall of a pneumatic tire. The tire may include a pair of sidewalls radially extending from a central axis of rotation of the tire. The sidewalls may include an inner diameter and an outer diameter defining an external surface. At least one of the sidewalls may include an annular band formed on the external surface of the sidewall. The annular band may include a pair of spaced apart band edge surfaces, each including a first edge and a sinusoidal second edge that may help to reduce sidewall undulations and enhance the reflective properties of the sidewall, so that indicia formed on the annular band may be legible to a viewer. Additionally, the sidewalls may also include any type of indicia.

Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a sidewall surface with serrated portions, each of the serrated portions being formed by aligning numerous serrated concavo-convex stripes thereon, the serrated portions being spirally arranged along a circumferential direction of the tire. The concavo-convex stripes are formed by formation of concave grooves on the sidewall surface. The depth of the concave grooves is 0.3 to 2.0 mm. An interval between adjacent serrated portions is set 5 mm or more when measured along a radial direction of the tire.
