Abstract: Basketball backboard and rim covers are described. An example basketball backboard and rim cover includes a main body that has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a front, a back, and defines a recess and an opening. The recess extends from the back toward the front. The opening is defined on the front and provides access to the recess. The second portion contacts the first portion and extends away from the front of the first portion. The second portion has a first end, a second end, and defines a chamber that extends from the opening defined by the first portion toward the second end of the second portion.
Abstract: The present invention is a basketball rebound training apparatus including a rebound unit and an installation tool. The rebound unit includes a dome portion as well as a rim mount structure including a rim catch tab and a latch mechanism. The dome portion is shaped to deflect a basketball shot in a direction that will generally correspond to the likely path and direction of a similar missed shot. The rim catch tab projects under the basketball goal rim while the latch mechanism engages the opposite side of the rim. The installation tool is used to raise the rebound unit for installation on a basketball goal rim.
Abstract: A basketball practice device is for use with a basketball rim having a diameter. The practice device includes an annular body, the body having a diameter substantially lesser than the rim diameter, and at least one and preferably a plurality of supports. Each support is connected with the annular body and has a mount disposeable upon a portion of the rim. At least one and preferably a plurality of retainers each have a first end connected with the support, a second end releasably connected with the support, and a central section. Each central section is extendable at least partially about the rim portion such that the rim portion is retained between the support mount and the retainer to connect the practice device with the rim. Further, each retainer includes a generally elastic loop providing the ends and central portion and is extendable to engage with and disengage from the support.
