Abstract: A process producing a pharmaceutical lozenge formulation comprising the steps of: 1) granulating a mixture of flurbiprofen and a bulking agent with a solution of a binding agent in a polar solvent to form granules; 2) melting a lozenge-forming composition; 3) mixing the granules with the molten lozenge-forming composition; 4) forming the resulting mixture into lozenges each containing a therapeutically effective amount of flurbiprofen.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical tablet, with a break line aligned along a long dimension of the tablet, such that a twisting action, in which parts of the tablets on opposite sides if the break line are subjected to a rotational twisting force in respectively opposite senses, causes the tablet to break into two or more parts. The tablet is of the type which may be broken into two or more parts in order to ease swallowing or to allow administration of a partial dose.
Abstract: This invention relates to a bioadhesive tablet containing at least one bioadhesive adjuvant and at least one lubricant, with at least one surface of the tablet comprising concentric or parallel, straight and/or curved depressions, and to a method for producing the bioadhesive tablets as well as to pharmaceuticals in the form of the bioadhesive tablets.
