Abstract: A surgical blade having an attachment base positioned at a proximal end and a wedge-shaped blade. The wedge-shaped blade includes a cutting tip having a first plurality of cutting teeth, which define a cutting edge along the distal end for starting an osteotomy. The wedge-shaped blade includes a second plurality of teeth positioned along rows. Each row is positioned at offset planes from adjacent rows along the wedge-shaped blade.
Abstract: A cutting tool and an attachment mechanism configured to removably securely couple the cutting tool and a cutting instrument together. The cutting tool comprises a tang end portion, a tip end portion, and a cutting edge on the tip end portion. The attachment mechanism comprises a first and second clamping members with first and second engagement surfaces, respectively. The second clamping member further comprises a pair of axially-spaced projections extending and a pair of laterally-spaced projections extending past the second engagement surface. The attachment mechanism further comprises an adjustment mechanism configured to selectively adjust the distance between the first and second engagement surfaces. The tang end portion comprises an axially extending coupling slot and a pair of elastically-deformable securement members at lateral sides that extend laterally outward as they extend axially from the tang end portion toward the tip end portion.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides devices and methods for insufflating abdomens of subjects under direct visualization. Such devices and methods, in some implementations, include features for cleaning the devices, and certain implementations of the methods permit procedures wherein it is not necessary to use a typical obturator to place a cannula, resulting in safer procedures.
Abstract: An electronic knife assembly and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the knife includes a blade and a handle operably couplable to the blade. The handle can include an oscillator operably coupled to the blade, at least one sensor configured to obtain one or more measurements, and a controller operably coupled to the oscillator and the least one sensor. The measurements from the sensor can include a spatial position of the electronic knife, a spatial orientation of the electronic knife, a mass of a user's hand, a grip of the user's hand, and/or a resistance to the oscillation of the blade. The controller can adjust an operating frequency of the oscillator based at least partially on the one or more measurements from the at least one sensor. The handle can also include a wireless power supply.
Abstract: An introduction needle includes a needle piercing portion. The needle piercing portion comprises a piercing projection, the piercing projection includes a substrate and a needle tooth, the needle tooth is fixedly arranged on a side surface of a side of the substrate, a central axis of the needle tooth is perpendicular to the side surface of the substrate.
