Abstract: A collapsible leg assembly that includes a first leg having an upper portion and a lower portion; a second leg having an upper portion and a lower portion; a crossbar extending between the lower portions of the first and second legs, wherein the crossbar further includes a first section and a second section that are either flexibly connected to one another or detachably connected to one another; an upper leg receptacle that is adapted to receive the upper portion of the first leg in a hinged manner and the upper portion of the second leg in a hinged manner; a first lower leg receptacle that is adapted to receive the bottom portion of the first leg in a fixed manner and the first section of the crossbar in hinged manner; and a second lower leg receptacle that is adapted to receive the bottom portion of the second leg in a fixed manner and the second section of the crossbar in hinged manner.
Abstract: The present device is a cutting table for supporting a workpiece above a support surface while cutting the workpiece with a tool. The cutting table is comprised of at least one foam table piece that includes a top side, a bottom side, and at least one peripheral edge. Two or more foam standoffs project upwardly from the top side of the foam table piece a common height and each terminate at a top surface adapted for contacting and supporting the workpiece. The two or more standoffs allow the workpiece, when supported by the foam table piece, to be cut with the tool even if some of the standoffs are damaged by the tool. Preferably a portion of the area of the top surfaces of the standoffs to an area of the top side of the foam table pieces is less than 50%, preferably being between either 20-30% or 45-50%.
Abstract: A support platform with a first and second bracket. The brackets each have first, second, and third sleeves. A cross member is inserted into and extends between the first sleeves of the brackets. Leg members are slidably inserted into and extend from the second and third sleeves of the brackets. The leg members inserted in the second sleeves extend substantially away from one side of the cross member at a first angle. The leg members inserted in the third sleeves extend substantially away from the other side of the cross member at a second angle. The second angle is less than the first angle.
Abstract: A sawhorse is disclosed that provides stability, easy assembly and disassembly, and ability to handle heavy loads and is inexpensive to manufacture. Brackets that have a C-shaped collar for holding the ends of a cross member and leg receptacles for holding standard dimension lumber used for legs of the sawhorse. All pieces are designed to spread the forces of the load. An optional elevation bar helps facilitate the cutting of material without cutting through the sawhorse.
