Abstract: An emergency ejection protecting module is disclosed to protect the emergency ejection device in an optical disc drive. When the optical disc drive reads/writes a disc, moving a protection door at the case to reveal an ejection hole causes an abnormal operation of the emergency ejection. The contact end protruded from the protection door activates a sensor to transmit an ejection signal to the optical disc drive, and the optical disc drive starts the ejection operation to protect the disc.
Abstract: Provided are a disc loading device and an optical disc drive using the same. When a disc is loaded into the optical disc drive, an eject lever and a main slider may be used to facilitate an open/close operation of a door of the optical disc drive. In addition, by shutting off power to a loading roller after loading a disc, the disc is prevented from being damaged by the loading roller while the disc is being chucked.
Abstract: An optical disk player includes a main body, a disk tray, and a cover. The main body includes a top surface with a receiving recess defined thereon. The disk tray is received in the receiving recess for reading data written on an optical disk. The cover is configured for covering the receiving recess of the main body. A ring-shaped groove is formed on the top surface of the main body surrounding the receiving recess, and a protrusion is formed on an inner surface of the cover facing the main body, the protrusion is capable of being inserted into the groove when the cover is closed on the top surface of the main body.

Abstract: A disc device that includes a loading unit configured to load an storage medium into the disc device, a chucking unit configured to accommodate the loaded storage medium thereon, an ejection unit configured to eject the storage medium, and a controller configured to control the loading unit, the chucking unit, and the ejection unit. The ejection unit moves the storage medium to a loading position for loading the storage medium onto the chucking unit when the storage medium is initially inserted.
Abstract: The invention provides a jam-proof device of a slot-in optical disk drive. In the jam-proof device, a contact pin protrudes from one end of the loading bar, the other end of the loading bar is pivoted with a pivot on a first side of the casing, and a block protrudes adjacent to the pivot. One end of the unloading bar is pivoted on a second side of the casing opposite to the first side, and a reception end is formed at the other end of the unloading bar to extend to a center of the casing. A distance between the block and the reception end at a default position is shorter than a diameter of an 8-cm disc to prevent the disc from entering the slot-in optical disk drive.
Abstract: There is provided a data processing device able to surely eject a recording medium out of a main body of the device even when the recording medium is received in a case while a locking member having adherence and elasticity of the case is locked with a center hole of the recording medium. A CD player includes: a main body of the device 3; a carrying unit 5 for ejecting and retracting a CD 2 from the main body of the device 3; a clamping and reading out unit 6 for reading out data recorded on the CD 2; and a microcomputer 4. The carrying unit 5 includes: a disc guide 17; and a roller arm 18 having a carrying roller 20. The microcomputer 4 makes the turntable 26 of the clamping and reading out unit 6 rotate while the CD 2 is held between the disc guide 17 and the carrying roller 20 when the carrying unit 5 fails to eject the CD 2 out of the main body of the device 3.
