Abstract: A disc conveying device includes a pair of rails positioned on opposite sides across a disc-shaped recording medium transported in the lead-in direction or ejecting direction in a direction orthogonal to a center axis direction, and extending in the direction of the conveyed disc-shaped recording medium; link arms that are turnably supported to a base chassis, are turnable as to the pair of rails, and move in parallel in a direction of separating the rails from the peripheral face of the disc-shaped recording medium; conveying rollers that convey the disc-shaped recording medium by being supported by the rails, and touch the peripheral face of the disc-shaped recording medium with at least one conveying roller rotating; and an ejecting lever that is turnable as to at least one of the rails, by which turning the peripheral face of the disc-shaped recording medium is pressed, and the disc-shaped recording medium is conveyed.
Abstract: An optical disc drive according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a case; a tray for loading an optical disc; and a flexible flat cable for connecting a first connector installed at the rear of the case and a second connector of a printed circuit board installed at the rear surface of the tray, where insulating tape for impedance matching may be attached to the flexible flat cable. The insulating tape may be attached to a bottom surface of a fixed part of the flexible flat cable. Also, tape with meshed lines of conductive material may be attached to a surface of the moving part of the flexible flat cable come into contact with the printed circuit board while the tray stays in the case. Therefore, the present invention allows low cost flexible flat cables to be used for SATA interface without generating errors due to impedance mismatch.
Abstract: An optical device is provided including a tray body linearly moving and loading an optical disk. A case guide is configured to guide the linear movement of the tray body. A damper is interposed between the tray body and the case guide to attenuate vibration of the tray body.
