Abstract: A superconductor device includes a high superconductivity transition temperature enhanced from the raw material transition temperature. The superconductor device includes a matrix material and a core material. The enhancing matrix material and the core material together create a system of strongly coupled carriers. A plurality of low-dimensional conductive features can be embedded in the matrix. The low-dimensional conductive features (e.g., nanowires or nanoparticles) can be conductors or superconductors. An interaction between electrons of the low-dimensional conductive features and the enhancing matrix material can promote excitations that increase a superconductivity transition temperature of the superconductor device.

Abstract: To overcome the difficulties caused by variation in user interfaces from self-service terminal to self-service terminal, a self-service terminal can use a standardized interface device that is compatible with other terminal types and other regions. The interface device can be positioned on a housing and electrically coupled to the housing via a secure physical connection. Media readers can be integrated into the interface device. An encrypted touch-sensitive display can be integrated into the interface device and positioned on a front of the interface device. The touch-sensitive display can show prompts to initiate a transaction at the self-service terminal. The prompts can provide instructions for causing physical media to be read at any one of the media readers to produce identification data. A processor positioned in the housing can receive the identification data from the interface device via the secure physical connection.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a control system network architecture for a fluidic control system such as a hydraulic or pneumatic control system. The architecture includes a plurality of clustered control-component nodes with each node being alternatively configurable to independently control the operation of multiple single-acting controlled endpoint devices or a double-acting controlled endpoint device. Each node includes control-components including a solenoid, one or more valve spools independently controllable by the solenoid, and a low-level controller operable to control the solenoid. The solenoid, valve spools, and low-level controller are clustered together and physically co-located as a unit. The nodes are arranged in a control block with each node being uniquely identifiable for data communication via a data communication network. The data communication network may include a Controller Area Network (CAN).
