Abstract: Mobile user equipment (MUE) can be enabled to search for and camp on a preferred node, such as a home base node (HBN), in a battery-efficient manner even when currently camped on another node, such as a macro base node (MBN). When the MBN provides good channel quality, slow rate background intra- and inter-frequency searches can discover the preferred HBN that would otherwise not be discovered or would consume excessive power with continual searching. When channel quality is fair, slow rate background inter-frequency searches can result in timely switching to the preferred HBN. Location hints that indicate proximity of the preferred HBN can be used to trigger slow rate background searches. Neighboring cell searching of neighbor cell listing (NCL) when in channel quality is fair or poor are maintained to prepare for call reselections to available node.

Abstract: The invention relates to compositions and methods for diagnosing and treating hyperproliferative disorders using ligands which specifically recognize the hypusine and/or folate binding region of mature eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A (hypusine-containing eIF-5A). The invention further relates to methods of identifying molecules which displace immunoreagents binding to mature eIF-5A. Such agents are useful for treating hyperproliferative disorders.

Abstract: A vertical fabric vane weight system is used to interconnect a plurality of fabric vanes. The vertical vanes are secured at their top end to a head rail and the botton ends are freely movable. An enclosed pocket is formed adjacent to the bottom of each vertical vane, each vane having a weight positioned in its respective pocket. A continuous chain member interconnects the weights along one edge of the vanes. Clips are used to interconnect the continuous chain to each of the weights and are removable should the chain not be a desirable feature.
Abstract: Pesticidal proteins are provided that combine two or more modes of action into a single molecule. These pesticidal proteins therefor exhibit greater efficacy and/or durability of resistance, for the purposes of pest control, and can be utilized for pest control by provision in the diet of a pest organism, or by topical application to crop plants and/or pests. Methods and compositions for producing and using such proteins are also provided.

Abstract: A process and apparatus for controlling the charging of pressurized gas-metal cells such as nickel-hydrogen cells, to prevent detrimental overcharging, wherein the time rate of change of a battery gas pressure index is monitored as a control parameter. When the time rate of change of the index falls below a preselected value, charging is discontinued. The cell gas pressure index can be gas pressure itself, or a quantity which is responsive to, and depends upon gas pressure, such as the deformation of a cell component.
Abstract: A method and system for presenting a multimedia title that is based on a multi-node structure while preferring nodes with a relatively spare visit history over nodes that have a relatively frequent visit history. For a multimedia title that is based on an information structure with a finite number of information nodes, first an entry point to the structure is presented to a user. Further, user visits as pertaining to specific nodes are logged, and a visit history of certain nodes is indicated to a user. In particular, the indicating prefers to present nodes with a relatively spare visit history over nodes that have a relatively frequent visit history.

Abstract: An interface file structure for allowing transfer of information between nodes in a network and a binding process for configuring nodes in the network. The interface offers an advantageous format designed to provide for minimal reading and writing of records while requiring minimal storage space per record. Further, an advantageous format for storing numeric information is disclosed in which information providing the number of buffers allocated and the size of such buffers is stored in a single nibble thus reducing required storage space.

Abstract: Compounds of formula I: (wherein variables A1, A2, A3, G1, G2, G3, J, m, n, p, R1, R2, R3, R4 and Y are as described herein) which are antagonists of CGRP receptors and which are useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases in which the CGRP is involved, such as migraine. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and the use of these compounds and compositions in the prevention or treatment of such diseases in which CGRP is involved.
Abstract: Perfusion of tissue such as the myocardium by a microbubble contrast agent is imaged in realtime by a multiple pulse technique which uses low power transmit pulses which are sufficient to elicit a harmonic response from the microbubbles but are not high enough in power to cause substantial destruction to the microbubbles. In a preferred embodiment the realtime microbubble image sequence is displayed in color, overlaid with a grayscale image of the surrounding tissue in the region being imaged.

Abstract: Systems and methods for the suppression of unwanted noise from a jet discharging into a duct are disclosed herein. The unwanted noise may be in the form of excited duct modes or howl due to super resonance. A damper member is used to reduce acoustic velocity perturbations at the velocity anti-node, associated with the half-wave resonance of the duct, weakening the resonance condition and reducing the amplitudes of the spectral peaks.
