  • Patent number: 9386431
Abstract: Mobile user equipment (MUE) can be enabled to search for and camp on a preferred node, such as a home base node (HBN), in a battery-efficient manner even when currently camped on another node, such as a macro base node (MBN). When the MBN provides good channel quality, slow rate background intra- and inter-frequency searches can discover the preferred HBN that would otherwise not be discovered or would consume excessive power with continual searching. When channel quality is fair, slow rate background inter-frequency searches can result in timely switching to the preferred HBN. Location hints that indicate proximity of the preferred HBN can be used to trigger slow rate background searches. Neighboring cell searching of neighbor cell listing (NCL) when in channel quality is fair or poor are maintained to prepare for call reselections to available node.

  • Patent number: 5094287
Abstract: A vertical fabric vane weight system is used to interconnect a plurality of fabric vanes. The vertical vanes are secured at their top end to a head rail and the botton ends are freely movable. An enclosed pocket is formed adjacent to the bottom of each vertical vane, each vane having a weight positioned in its respective pocket. A continuous chain member interconnects the weights along one edge of the vanes. Clips are used to interconnect the continuous chain to each of the weights and are removable should the chain not be a desirable feature.

  • Patent number: 4689544
Abstract: A process and apparatus for controlling the charging of pressurized gas-metal cells such as nickel-hydrogen cells, to prevent detrimental overcharging, wherein the time rate of change of a battery gas pressure index is monitored as a control parameter. When the time rate of change of the index falls below a preselected value, charging is discontinued. The cell gas pressure index can be gas pressure itself, or a quantity which is responsive to, and depends upon gas pressure, such as the deformation of a cell component.

  • Patent number: 6006262
Abstract: A method and system for presenting a multimedia title that is based on a multi-node structure while preferring nodes with a relatively spare visit history over nodes that have a relatively frequent visit history. For a multimedia title that is based on an information structure with a finite number of information nodes, first an entry point to the structure is presented to a user. Further, user visits as pertaining to specific nodes are logged, and a visit history of certain nodes is indicated to a user. In particular, the indicating prefers to present nodes with a relatively spare visit history over nodes that have a relatively frequent visit history.
