Abstract: The ATM transmitting apparatus for transmitting messages, such as frame relay packets, associated with a plurality of connections comprises ATM layer transmission equipment for receiving multiple messages, segmenting each received message into a plurality of smaller data units, such as 48 byte AAL SAR protocol data units, and multiplexing such data units into a single stream for transport over a physical interface. A scheduler receives messages from each of the connections and transfers the messages to the transmission equipment. The scheduler can dynamically set a transmission rate for any connection, and allocates each connection whose message is transferred to the transmission equipment a substantially maximal amount of bandwidth at any given time during the transmission of the message, to thereby minimize interleaving of data units from the various connections and reduce the average latency (per unit of message) in transmitting the messages across a network.
Abstract: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19 or COVID-2) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Common symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The virus is mainly spread during close contact and via respiratory droplets produced when people cough or sneeze. Respiratory droplets may be produced during breathing but the virus is not generally airborne. A half-life optimized fusion composition linked by a Half-Life Optimizing (H-Lo) linker comprising of a receptor binding domain (RBD), a half-life extending domain (LED), wherein the LED is any one of a monoclonal antibody, single domain antibody, nanobody, antibody fragment, or combination thereof and the H-Lo linker with an X+7 amino acid length fusing the RBD C-terminus with the LED N-terminus (RBD-LED fusion) is discussed in the invention.
Abstract: An integrated charge redistribution successive approximate register (CR-SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) includes a sample-and-hold switch, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a comparator and a logic circuit. The sample-and-hold switch obtains a sample input voltage (Vin). The DAC includes a plurality of digital multiplexers that selects between a superposition phase, which superimposes an analog offset voltage onto Vin, and a conversion phase which determines values for a digital output register which determines the input values to each control line. Each digital multiplexer presents input values to a control line. The comparator has two inputs coupled to the sample-and-hold switch and to the DAC such that the output of the converter determines a value of each successive bit in the digital output register. The logic circuit is coupled to the comparator and to digital multiplexers and includes the digital output register.

Abstract: A protective respirator that deactivates pathogens in a kill zone in front of a mouth and nose of a user by emitting Far UV-C radiation (e.g., having a wavelength centered around 222 nanometers). In some embodiments, a controller uses a mathematical model to determine a required intensity or emission time to provide a threshold probability of killing a microbe (e.g., a virus such as SARS-CoV-2). The required intensity or time may be determined based on atmospheric conditions and/or physiological conditions of the user. The Far UV-C radiation may be emitted in a direction through the kill zone that does not intersect with the skin or eyes of the user (e.g., away from the user or across the front of the user's face). Alternatively, the controller may estimate the fluence of Far UV-C radiation at the skin or eyes of the user over time and adjust the Far UV-C radiation emitted.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for providing tailored RF pulse trains, based on estimated B0 and B1 profiles, for uniform saturation for MRI techniques. The tailored pulse trains are optimized to minimize residual longitudinal magnetization in target tissue. The B0 and B1 profiles can be measured a priori over a desired region of a patient, e.g., the heart, and can overcome or mitigate SAR and B1 inhomogeneity constraints. In exemplary embodiments, the tailored pulse trains can include hard pulses with unequal weighting. In other embodiments, the tailored pulse trains can include BIR-4 pulse trains that are optimized to minimize residual longitudinal magnetization in target tissue. The tailored pulse train designs can improve the immunity to B1 variation while maintaining low RF power. MRI systems, methods, and controllers for providing tailored pulse trains are described.

The composition may be a pharmaceutically acceptable formulation for oral, mucosal (including sublingual), topical, inhaled, vaporized or spray, or smoked administration. The formulation may include absorption or pharmacological (synergistic) exogenous enhancers, e.g., curcumin, resveratrol, quercetin, piperine, butyrate (or its natural derivatives) and other (endo)cannabinoids.
Abstract: A radiofrequency (RF) power regulator includes a forward RF power detection circuit to detect forward RF power supplied by an RF transmitter circuit to an RF transmitting antenna. An RF power sampler is coupled to the forward RF power detector circuit and provides RF power samples of the supplied forward RF power. Multiple filters are coupled to receive the RF power samples. Each filter differently filters the received forward power samples to apply a different average power period. Each filter activates an RF power adjustment trigger signal while a time-averaged forward RF power supplied to the RF transmitting antenna satisfies a forward RF power adjustment condition for the average power period of the filter. Forward RF power adjustment logic is coupled to filters and operable to adjust the forward RF power supplied by the RF transmitter circuit to the RF transmitting antenna based on the RF power adjustment trigger signal.

Abstract: A method and system for detecting the presence of subsurface objects within a medium is provided. In some embodiments, the imaging and detection system operates in a multistatic mode to collect radar return signals generated by an array of transceiver antenna pairs that is positioned across the surface and that travels down the surface. The imaging and detection system pre-processes the return signal to suppress certain undesirable effects. The imaging and detection system then generates synthetic aperture radar images from real aperture radar images generated from the pre-processed return signal. The imaging and detection system then post-processes the synthetic aperture radar images to improve detection of subsurface objects. The imaging and detection system identifies peaks in the energy levels of the post-processed image frame, which indicates the presence of a subsurface object.
