The method may also include determining whether the property for the service affects the deployment of the service to the container environment, and in response to a determination that the property affects the deployment of the service, deploying the service based at least in part on the property. The method may additionally include determining whether the property for the service affects the generation of a client library that calls the service in the container environment, and in response to a determination that the property affects the generation of the client library, generating the client library based at least in part on the property.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are for decelerating a sheet of paper in a paper-cutting system. The sheet of paper is cut using a cutter, and the sheet is then accepted into a take-away nip. The take-away nip is operated at an initial rate in order to move the sheet of paper away from the cutter at an initial speed. The take-away nip is then operated at a rate decreasing to a final rate, in order to decelerate the sheet of paper to a final speed by the time the sheet of paper exits the take-away nip. The take-away nip is subsequently operated at the initial rate again, prior to accepting another sheet of paper at the initial speed.

Abstract: A method and device for omnidirectional and anti-sabotage anti-tampering detection are disclosed. For this purpose, a proposed security device assembly includes a mounting bracket, a security device such as a motion detector or surveillance camera, and an anti-tampering system. The security device is mounted via the mounting bracket. The anti-tampering system includes a permanent magnet and a magnetometer for detecting a magnetic field of the permanent magnet, and includes a controller. The controller detects changes in the magnetic field that are indicative of movement between the mounting bracket and the security device. In general, the anti-tampering system spans across the mounting bracket and the security device. Preferably, the permanent magnet is attached to the mounting bracket and the magnetometer is included within the security device.

Abstract: The estimation of the variation of the glucose level in the blood of a person by the variation of the volume of the interstitial fluid compartments in muscular tissue due to a shift of fluid between the extracellular and intracellular compartments caused by variations of the osmotic pressure of the extracellular fluids which is in turn correlated with the glucose level. The variation of the volume of the interstitial fluid compartments is detected by a non-invasive conductometry measurement using electrodes placed in contact with the skin of the person overlying a portion of soft tissue including muscular fibers. To eliminate the adverse effect of the conductivity of the capillary vessels, the conductivity of the tissue is measured independently in two directions, namely parallel and transverse to the muscular fibers.

Abstract: Improved anodes and cells are provided, which enable fast charging rates with enhanced safety due to much reduced probability of metallization of lithium on the anode, preventing dendrite growth and related risks of fire or explosion. Anodes and/or electrolytes have buffering zones for partly reducing and gradually introducing lithium ions into the anode for lithiation, to prevent lithium ion accumulation at the anode electrolyte interface and consequent metallization and dendrite growth. Various anode active materials and combinations, modifications through nanoparticles and a range of coatings which implement the improved anodes are provided.

Abstract: Businesses and other entities may be assigned geographic locations based on various types of data. In one example, entities are associated with segments in a street grid. Additionally, data points (e.g., geotagged blog entries or other online information) are associated with segments in the street grid. For a given segment, data points are compared with entities to identify possible matches between the data points and the entities. Each match is assigned a score, and each match represents a possible physical location for a given entity. The locations of entities on the street are assigned, from among the matches, based on which assignment of entities optimizes the aggregate score for the segment, while satisfying one or more physical constraints.

Abstract: A method of forming a needle includes the step of anisotropically etching a channel into the back side of a semiconductor substrate. The front side of the semiconductor substrate is then isotropically etched to form a vertical axial surface surrounding the channel. The resultant needle has an elongated body formed of a semiconductor material. The elongated body includes an axial surface positioned between a first end and a second end. The axial surface defines a channel between the first end and the second end. In one embodiment, the first end has a sloping tip with a single circumferential termination point.
