Abstract: An adjustable buttstock clamp for a rifle is disclosed which includes a cam lever having a mechanical locking feature configured to engage with a groove in a buttstock extension shaft when in the locked position. A buttstock recoil pad may be attached to an extension shaft that can telescope in and out of the body of the buttstock, allowing the user to adjust the length of pull of the rifle and angle of the recoil pad. In one embodiment, the shaft includes a number of grooves on its surface along the length of the shaft and the shaft is held in place using a band clamp that is activated by the cam lever. When the cam lever is in the locked position, the locking feature engages with one of the grooves of the shaft to hold the buttstock recoil pad at the desired length and angle.

  • Patent number: 10591255
Abstract: A system having a digital reticle and an application running on a processor. The digital reticle has an indicator structured to provide a notification signal to a user. The digital reticle is configured to receive a ballistics profile from an electronic ballistics calculator. The application is configured to determine a predicted terminal performance value of the projectile based, at least in part, on the ballistics profile. The application is further configured to receive a user input indicative of a desired terminal performance value for a projectile and to transmit a signal corresponding to the user input. The digital reticle is further configured to receive the signal corresponding to the user input and to activate the indicator when the predicted terminal performance value does not exceed the desired terminal performance value.

  • Patent number: 10801796
Abstract: A mounting assembly for a firearm muzzle attachment includes an attachment mount with a clutch assembly. A muzzle attachment can be secured to the distal end portion of the attachment mount. The attachment mount is configured to removably attach the muzzle attachment to a muzzle adapter installed on the end of a barrel. A clutch assembly on the attachment mount is operable between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the clutch assembly frictionally engages the muzzle adapter to inhibit loosening rotation of the muzzle attachment relative to the muzzle adapter. In the unlocked position, the clutch assembly disengages from the muzzle adapter to permit loosening rotation of the attachment mount relative to the muzzle adapter. A method of use and a locking nut are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230296335
Abstract: A breechblock assembly includes a breechblock configured to reciprocate along a top of the firearm receiver between a recoil position and a battery position. An actuator is coupled to the breechblock and is configured to move between first and second positions. A lever on the breechblock in contact with the actuator is movable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position. For example, the lever is generally oriented along the central axis and extends rearward beyond a proximal face of the breechblock. When the actuator is in the first position, the lever is in the blocking position. When the actuator is in the second position the lever is in the non-blocking position. When assembled in a firearm, an end of the lever is positioned to block the hammer from striking the firing pin when the breechblock is out of battery by more than a predefined distance.
