Abstract: An oral device for temporary placement in a patient's oral cavity includes upper and lower jaw braces and a tongue-engaging member. The upper and lower jaw braces are connected so that the lower jaw brace is advanced in an anterior direction relative to the upper jaw brace when the upper and lower jaw braces are closed together. A partial vacuum is drawn in the oral cavity and the vacuum and lower jaw displacement together control the position of the tongue in order to clear the patient's airway to reduce sleep apnea or treat other conditions.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for communicating with a patient. The mechanisms generate a patient registry comprising a plurality of patient registry records, each patient registry record being associated with a corresponding patient and comprising personal and medical information about the corresponding patient. The mechanisms collect, for each patient registry record, first data regarding treatment of the corresponding patient and second data regarding communications made with the corresponding patient. The mechanisms determine, based on analysis of the first data and second data associated with each of the patient registry records, a mode of communication that is most likely to result in a successful treatment of patients. The mechanisms initiate a communication with a patient of interest using the determined mode of communication based on the results of the determination.

Abstract: Augmented reality environments allow users in their physical environment to interact with virtual objects and information. Augmented reality applications are developed and configured to utilize local as well as cloud resources. Application management allows control over distribution of applications to select groups or all users. An application programming interface allows simplified control and distribution of tasks between local and cloud resources during development and post-development operation. This integration between local and cloud resources along with the control afforded by application management allows rapid development, testing, deployment, and updating of augmented reality applications.

Abstract: An electrical switch apparatus including a movement sensitive form is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing, a motion sensor and a processing unit, where motion on, near or about the motion sensor is translated into output commands adapted for list scrolling, where the list can be arranged in a hierarchy such as menus or for changing a value of an attribute of an electrical device under the control of the switch.
Abstract: An automated industrial notification platform creates a link between a given industrial asset and one or more people or support entities qualified to provide support for the asset. An industrial device or machine stores electronic expert tag information that records and catalogues one or more support people or entities to be notified in response to detection of various types of performance or maintenance issues. The tag can include the experts' identities, contact information, roles relative to the industrial asset, event priorities, and other relevant information. Since the tag is stored in a memory location of the industrial asset, the tag travels with the asset so that experts are globally associated with the asset regardless of the asset's location. Notification components integrated with the industrial asset detect conditions that may require expert assistance, and send an automated notification to one or more experts identified by the tag information.

Abstract: A glass wafer assembly is disclosed. In one aspect, the glass wafer assembly comprises a first glass wafer and a second glass wafer that are bonded by a conductive sealing ring. The conductive sealing ring defines a substantially hermetically sealed cavity between the first glass wafer and the second glass wafer. In another aspect, the first glass wafer and the second glass wafer each comprise a plurality of conductive through glass vias (TGVs). At least one active device is disposed in the substantially hermetically sealed cavity and can be electrically coupled to a conductive TGV in the first glass wafer and a conductive TGV in the second glass wafer to enable flexible electrical routing through the glass wafer assembly without wire bonding and over molding. As a result, it is possible to reduce footprint and height while improving radio frequency (RF) performance of the glass wafer assembly.
