  • Patent number: 5048877
Abstract: A hood latch engages a striker for latching a hood panel movable between open and closed positions relative to a body panel. The striker is mounted on one of the panels. A housing is mounted on the other panel. A pop-up lever is pivotally mounted to the housing for movement between lowered and raised positions. A pop-up spring bias the pop-up lever to the raised position. A latch lever has a hook for latching engagement with the striker. The latch lever is pivotally mounted to the pop-up lever for movement between latched and unlatched positions and has a handle for manually moving the latch lever. A latch spring acts between the pop-up lever and the latch lever to rotate the latch lever towards the latched position. A detent lever pivotally mounts to the housing for releasably engaging and retaining the pop-up lever in the lowered position and preventing rotation to the raised position.

  • Publication number: 20120072867
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for presenting pop-up controls in a user interface are disclosed. When input instructing presentation of a pop-up control within a display area of the device is received, a display object that has current input focus in the display area can be identified. A content area of the display object and a location of the display object in the display area can be determined. Then, the pop-up control can be displayed in proximity to the location of the display object while avoiding the content area of the display object. In some implementations, the pop-up control includes the menu hierarchy of an application-level menu bar.

  • Patent number: 11821226
Abstract: A personal pop-up pod includes an interior chamber formed by a connection of several panels: a front panel, a rear panel, left and right side panels, and a top panel. The personal pop-up pod also includes first and second arm apertures formed in the rear panel, a window in one of the side panels, and a zipper arranged to open and close the window. A bottom edge of the front panel includes an elastic strip so that the bottom edge of the front panel may closely conform around a region of a patient when the patient's head is located in the interior chamber. As such, the personal pop-up pod defines a containment that allows a patient to undergo a medical examination or medical procedure while protecting one or both of the caregiver and the patient from contamination of each other.
