  • Patent number: 4672527
Abstract: In a circuit supplying a digital system, the frequency at which the switching device therein is controlled is synchronized to be the same as one or several times half the sampling frequency. In this way, the original frequency spectrum can be kept free from interfering signals.

  • Patent number: 4821298
Abstract: To compensate for transmission errors of a non-ideal system for transmitting digital signals, first signal deviations are determined and stored, and then there is a direct processing of the input signals into output signals by combining the input signals with the stored signal deviations. • Publication number: 20040098625
Abstract: A method and associated arrangement allows a content or service provider to establish an anonymous profile of a consumer using at least one request sent by the consumer through a communication network. • Publication number: 20050025300
Abstract: Method for anonymously transmitting a message by means of a telecommunication network. A first exchange (2) between the sender (1) and the receiver (4) of said message replaces identifying features (MSISDN) of the sender (1) of the message by a first alias identification (CID). The conversion between the said identifying features (MSISNDN) and the first alias identification (CID) is permanent, or at least secure for several weeks. The first alias identification (CID) is replaced by a second alias identification (CMID) at the receiver (4) or in a further exchange (3). The second alias identification (CMID) enables the receiver to identify the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 4630007
Abstract: In the conversion of a first delta modulated signal with a first bit rate into a second delta modulated signal with a second bit rate, a first and second digital signal derived respectively from the first and second delta modulated signals are compared together in an adding circuit (58) followed by an integration circuit (55). In this way an analog intermediary signal can be avoided and the circuit complexity is small.

  • Patent number: 4942565
Abstract: Recording apparatus for forming a track on a disk-shaped recording medium capable of optical information reproduction, comprises a deflection device for deviating a recording beam from a light source in a radial direction of the disk-shape recording medium and a deflection-control signal generating device. The deflection control signal is developed from the superimposition of a first signal having a predetermined frequency and a second signal having a lower frequency than the predetermined frequency. The superimposition of the second signal can be done while retaining the predetermined frequency.

  • Patent number: 4780892
Abstract: Using the inventive method and apparatus, two scanning sequences can be synchronized with small signal delays and at the smallest possible apparatus expense. The time differences between associated scanning values or signals of the two scanning sequences are compensated by alternatingly delaying relative to each other the scanned values or signals and interpolating between the scanned values or signals of one of the two scanning sequences. The apparatus for carrying out the synchronizing operation comprises a storage for producing the delays and a filtering device for performing the interpolation.

  • Patent number: 4564918
Abstract: Equidistant timing pulses are counted during the time between the arrival of a first pulse edge of a first signal sequence and the arrival of a following second pulse edge of another signal sequence and are averaged to a mean value with equidistant timing pulses of an immediately preceding count between two pulse edges of the two signal sequences. The continuously formed mean values are accumulated with mean values of preceding cycles and in each case the least significant bit is further processed.

  • Patent number: 4748578
Abstract: An input sampling sequence with an input sampling rate is translated into an output sampling sequence with a selectable output sampling rate in a sampling filter. A circuit for forming the time difference of the sampling points forms from the given input sampling rate and the desired output sampling rate a signal corresponding to the time difference and this is used in a translation circuit for converting into data for characterizing the filter coefficients. The sampling filter is conditioned by the selected coefficients from the translation circuit. The invention is suitable for the transmission of sampled data, particularly sampled rates between two systems operating at different clock frequencies.

  • Patent number: 4953117
Abstract: A sampling frequency converter converts sampled input data having an input sampling frequency into sampled output data having a different output sampling frequency. The relative ratio between input data sample periods and output data sample periods is determined and averaged over a predetermined duration. A filter coefficient generator responds to the averaged input/output sampling period ratio for generating data representing a set of predetermined filter coefficients which are used by a sampling filter circuit to convert the input data samples into output data samples of a different sampling frequency.

  • Patent number: 4748519
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for recording and reproducing coded digital signals typically assign values of a signal to 2 categories which are separately coded, delayed differently, and subsequently recorded. In order to reduce the loss of such values in the cases of damage to the recording to the greatest possible extent, the values of the signals are coded at least twice in parallel and recorded onto several tracks. In one of the recordings, the sequence of values is modified in such a way that even major damage to the recording can be accommodated without producing non-correctable errors.

  • Patent number: 4757518
Abstract: Digital data, such as audio data is coded by encoding apparatus, into a format of fixed-length multi-bit data words. At least one bit in the same predetermined bit position in each data word is a specific information data bit, such as channel status information or user information. A plurality of the specific information data bits from a corresponding plurality of successive data words respectively form a specific information word. Each specific information word contains a synchronizing signal, and the length of the specific information words is variable. A decoder decodes the encoded digital data.

  • Patent number: 4766602
Abstract: A method of decoding digital synchronizing signals each of which consists of a plurality of bits in a predetermined pattern, the intervals between the starts of successive synchronizing signals in an input digital signal being variable over a range, comprises ascertaining the bit period distance between the starts of two successive synchronizing signals, subsequently searching the input digital signal for the pattern using a window comprising the bit period distance, which window is varied in position if the bit period distance changes, and supplying an output synchronizing pulse in synchronism with subsequent synchronizing signals found in the window.
