  • Patent number: 5110111
Abstract: A method and apparatus for stacking cut sheets of printed media wherein the leading edge of sheets received from a printer or plotter are first passed vertically downward into a bin and then rotated through an angle away from the printer or plotter. The front side member of the bin has a convex, upwardly facing and smoothly contoured section thereof over which cut sheets are laid with a uniform weight distribution and then down into an adjacent sheet output collection tray. This method of sheet transport and stacking has the advantage of minimizing the crumpling and curling of the cut sheets during the sheet handling and accumulation process. In addition, this method rapidly and efficiently moves the cut sheets out of the way of upstream sheet feeding to thereby prevents paper jam and crushing of paper in the plotter or printer.

  • Patent number: 5240243
Abstract: A suspendable or hanging sheet receiving bin for a printer or plotter which includes a front wall, a back wall, and a bottom wall, all joined together in a bar or wire grid network to define a sheet receiving region. The sheet receiving region has a length dimension, a width dimension, and a depth dimension all defining at one end of the bin an opening for receiving paper fed from the output of the printer or plotter. The front wall of the bin includes a plurality of U-shaped or hook-shaped members having upwardly faced convex surfaces for receiving stacked sheets of paper falling into the opening of the bin and for enabling the sheets to be stacked uniformly and readily accessible to an operator for removal from the bin after the completion of the printing or plotting operation. Advantageously, the bin is provided with an adjustable tray or lever member which may be positioned at different locations along the depth dimension of the bin for receiving different length sheets from the plotter or printer.

  • Patent number: 6340256
Abstract: The present invention provides a low profile stackable Internet appliance printer for use with a television receiver and monitor and responsive to commands from a remote device for printing user desired information. The printer has a box like rectangular shaped housing conforming in size to that of conventional electronic audio video components such as cable boxes, DVD players, amplifiers, video tapes and the like to facilitate the stacking of the printer with such other components. A base member supports in a front portion of the printer a printbar and associated printheads to provide the user with easy printhead head access. The base member has an open bottom for receiving a removable combination input/output tray cassette. Upon removal of the combination input/output tray cassette, front user access is made available for the purposes of removing a paper jam should one occur.

  • Publication number: 20230313896
Abstract: A check valve assembly includes a first flapper, a second flapper, an internal passage formed by the first flapper and the second flapper, and a nozzle disposed within the internal passage and configured to generate an internal flow in the internal passage. In response to a fluid flow through the check valve assembly, the first flapper and the second flapper are configured to move between an open position allowing the internal flow through the internal passage and an outer flow outside the internal passage, and a closed position preventing flow through the internal passage. When the first flapper and the second flapper are operably in the open position, the internal flow has a lower pressure than the outer flow outside of the internal passage, such that the first flapper and the second flapper are maintained in the open position.
