Abstract: Methods and apparatus for selecting an insurance carrier for an online insurance policy purchase are disclosed. A user at a client device, such as a personal computer connected to the Internet, receives a plurality of business insurance quotes with minimal data input requirements. A plurality of insurance carriers are narrowed down to a few relevant insurance carriers based on geographic location, type of business, desired insurance products, responses to a small number of “kill” questions, and a customized insurance application which is dynamically generated in response to previous answers.

Abstract: A system for spraying water-based adhesive and a method of using the system is disclosed. The system includes a hot air gun connected to both a source of hot pressurized air and a source of flowable adhesive. The gun includes a body having a handle assembly and a spraying assembly. The handle assembly includes a depressible trigger and first knob for adjusting the amount of flowable adhesive in the spray gun and a second knob for adjusting the pattern of the spray. The spraying assembly includes a spray nozzle and control valves operably connected with the trigger for controlling the flow of pressurized hot air and adhesive. The spraying assembly also includes an air routing insert for routing air currents to the nozzle and an adhesive fluid tube for routing adhesive fluid to the nozzle. The adhesive fluid is atomized upon leaving the nozzle when combined with the hot pressurized air.
Abstract: Separate memory management units are described for use with a central processing unit to separately control expanding stack and data memory portions within a single logical memory segment. The stack and data portions are prevented from expanding into each other by a break register which contains an address between the two memory portions and is updated as the stack and data memory portions expand and contract. The stack memory management unit only is enabled when a portion of the memory is addressed on one side of the break value while the data memory management unit only is utilized when the address is on the other side of the break value.

Abstract: A removing unit for removing coating from the edge of a substrate has a vertical unit body housing a pair of pipes connected to a solvent reservoir and having respective solvent supply parts. The unit body has a head disposed in an upper end portion thereof. The head has a horizontal slot which opens at opposite ends thereof and at one side thereof for receiving an edge of a substrate. Solvent is supplied into the slot, drawn therealong and discharged from an end of the slot, all in a contained manner. A edge of a substrate is horizontally inserted into the slot so as to be immersed in the solvent contained in the slot, and the unit body is moved along the substrate edge so that the solvent cleans undesired coating from the edge.
Abstract: A plasma processing apparatus for processing a workpiece such as a semiconductor wafer in a plasma includes a downstream- or coaxial-type chamber for housing the workpiece. A first sheet-like electrode is mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the chamber and electrically connected to a high-frequency power supply, and a second sheet-like electrode is mounted on the outer circumferential surface of the chamber and connected to ground. The first and second sheet-like electrodes are spaced in confronting relationship from each other circumferentially of the chamber across or along the axis thereof. The first and second sheet-like electrodes have respective axial or circumferential arrays of successive teeth, such as rectangular comb teeth, extending circumferentially or axially of the chamber and respective axial or circumferential arrays of successive recesses which complementarily receive the teeth, respectively, in an interdigitating pattern.

Abstract: The invention disclosed here is a method of encoding serial numbers indicating "confidentiality" or "proprietary information" on printed documents. A group of marks in the form of small-sized dots or equivalent markings are repetitively printed across the face of the document. The placement and location of the markings defines a readable binary serial number. Intermixing the markings with the printed matter on the document makes it difficult or impossible to remove the serial number created by the markings, and they will remain on the document after repeated photocopies of it are made.
Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying a dynamic badge for accessing a facility are disclosed. The dynamic badge may include a display of one or more objects that change shape over time according to a predetermined pattern. The dynamic badge may visible at a specified distance (such as a social distancing limitation). The dynamic badge may be scanned or recognized by a scanning device at the specified distance to determine facility access for a user of the badge.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a method of separating a turkey carcass into a white meat portion and a dark meat hind saddle portion and processing the dark meat prior to rigor mortis. A live turkey is slaughtered, defeathered, eviscerated, and halved into the breast and hind saddle portions. The warm dark meat hind saddle portion is immediately conveyed to a deboning room where the warm dark meat muscle portion is removed, reduced in size and chilled within a short period of time.
