Abstract: A firearm accessory adjustment system is described. The system provides for independent elevation and windage adjustment for a laser associated with a firearm. Each of the elevation and windage adjustments can be made independently using single adjustments on the side of the firearm. The system can be integral to a sidearm.

Abstract: Examples include a threaded coupler for connecting two portions of a firearm sound suppressor housing together. The threaded coupler includes a sound suppressing baffle. Using the coupler and its integrated baffle provides additional sound suppression compared to sound suppressors with other types of connectors between housing portions.
Abstract: A firing pin lock for firearms is provided. The firing pin lock is a single piece of resilient metal that includes a pocket for receiving the head of the firing pin to prevent inadvertent discharge of the firearm. The firing pin lock can be mounted laterally in the bolt carrier group and is deflected outwardly by the action of the hammer.

Abstract: A target dot sight includes a target illumination sensor that senses the amount of illumination at a target, rather than merely sensing the ambient sight of the entire operating environment. Then, based on the sensed target illumination, the target dot sight may automatically compensate for the brightness of the target.

Abstract: A composite grip or grip module for a handgun is made from a polymer composite that includes a polymer and dense particles that increase the density of the grip. For example, the particles can be tungsten, tantalum, lead, iron, or mixtures thereof to provide a polymer density of greater than 2.5 grams per cubic centimeter.

Abstract: An accessory for a firearm includes a deflector structured to alter a path of discharge gasses and/or debris after such gasses and debris pass a Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI) of the firearm. The LCI indicates a presence of a cartridge within a firing chamber of the firearm, but openings within and around the LCI also provide a path for hot gasses and debris to strike accessories, which causes fouling and other deterioration.
Abstract: A takedown lever assembly for a striker-fired handgun. The takedown lever assembly includes a takedown actuation lever operable between a firing position and a takedown position, and a safety bar operatively coupled to the takedown actuation lever. The safety bar moves longitudinally along the frame in response to moving the takedown actuation lever from the firing position to the takedown position, thereby causing the sear to disengage from the striker.
Abstract: A folding stock assembly for a firearm includes: a butt stock portion; a receiver interface portion; and a hinge assembly configured to allow the butt stock portion to pivot with respect to the receiver interface portion. The butt stock portion includes a bolt retention receptacle configured to releasably receive a bolt handle of a bolt assembly when the butt stock is positioned in a first folded position.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for a slotted trigger actuation mechanism for a firearm are described herein. The slotted trigger actuation mechanism may be a slotted trigger bar interface. The slotted trigger bar interface may serve to increase a distance of trigger pull required to execute firing ammunition. A trigger body may comprise a trigger bias for increasing trigger work. The apparatus and method described herein may help to improve results during drop safety testing.
Abstract: A firearm having a lower receiver including a takedown pin through hole and an upper receiver configured to receive the lower receiver. The upper receiver including a rear lug and the rear lug including a bore and a screw disposed in the bore. A takedown pin having a cam surface such that the upper receiver is drawn to the lower receiver as the takedown pin is inserted in the takedown pin through hole and the bore of the rear lug.
Abstract: An accessory mounting system for adjustably mounting an accessory to a firearm accessory rail having a series of slots includes a rail clamping system structured to clamp to the firearm accessory rail, a mounting member having a tab structured to engage with one of the series of slots of the firearm accessory rail; and an adjustment mechanism that allows the accessory to be moved along a long axis of the firearm accessory rail less than a slot pitch of the firearm accessory rail.
Abstract: A muzzle end accessory for a firearm includes features to both suppress sounds and flashes associated with firing of the firearm. The features that provide sound and flash suppression may be formed, at least partially, in a core structure that is interior to the accessory and thus protected from damage by contact with external elements. The core structure may be of a unitary structure, promoting structural integrity and ease of manufacturing.
