Abstract: WLP semiconductor devices include bump assemblies that have a barrier layer for inhibiting electromigration within the bump assemblies. In an implementation, the bump assemblies include copper posts formed on the integrated circuit chips of the WLP devices. Barrier layers formed of a metal such as nickel (Ni) are provided on the outer surface of the copper posts to inhibit electromigration in the bump assembly. Oxidation prevention caps formed of a metal such as tin (Sn) are provided over the barrier layer. Solder bumps are formed over the oxidation prevention caps. The oxidation prevention caps inhibit oxidation of the barrier layer during fabrication of the bump assemblies.
Abstract: The present invention comprises nano obelisks and nanostructures and methods and processes for same. The nano obelisks of the present invention are advantageous structures for use as electron source emitters. For example, the ultra sharp obelisks can be used as an emitter source to generate highly coherent and high energy electrons with high current.

Abstract: A digital video editing and playback system and methods of editing and playing back digital video are provided. The system includes a video processor adapted to receive video segments from multiple sources. The video segments include synchronization information. The video processor includes software instructions adapted to be executed by the video processor. The software instructions are adapted to evaluate the synchronization information from various video segments and to form associations between video segments from different sources that correspond to a common event.
Abstract: A dispenser includes a housing having a sidewall with first and second axial ends. A container has first and second end portions with the second end portion engaged with the housing such that the container extends from the first axial end of the housing. A plunger having first and second sides is disposed in the interior cavity of the container. The interior cavity of the container and the first side of the base cooperatively define a product cavity. The interior cavity of the container and the second side of the base cooperatively define an air cavity. A valve mechanism is in engagement with the second end portion of the container. The valve mechanism includes a nozzle defining an orifice and an accumulator defining a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber is adapted to receive a portion of the product in the container. A piston is selectively slidable in the pumping chamber.

Abstract: A device for securing an emission control element by a gastight seal within an exhaust system, and a device to secure loose hardware within an exhaust system. The device for securing the emission control element includes a structure that surrounds the emission control element and a structure that pushes against the emission control element. The structure that pushes against the emission control element uses a system of angled grooves and pushing means to create a force that holds the emission control element in place. The device to secure loose hardware includes a length of wire, the end of which is formed into a loop around the body of the hardware.
Abstract: Financial instruments, particularly time certificates of deposit issued primarily by banks in the form of a contract between the depositor and the financial depository to typically pay an fixed interest rate for a fixed period of time at which redemption may occur. In the U.S. these contracts are required by Truth in Savings Regulation DD to state at the time of account opening the penalty for early withdrawal. These penalties can not be revised by the depository prior to maturity. The penalty for early withdrawal is the deterrent to allowing depositors to take advantage of subsequent enhanced investment opportunities during the term of the instrument. The withdrawal penalty is usually stated as a number of days/months of lost interest. In certain interest rate environments, this penalty may be Insufficient to discourage depositors from redeeming their deposit despite the penalty.
Abstract: A system for providing constant flow on-line dilution comprising a first fluid introduction line carrying a first fluid, a second fluid introduction line carrying a second fluid, a flow path selection assembly coupled to the fluid introduction line and the second fluid introduction line, a mixing assembly suitable for mixing the first fluid, the second fluid and a sample, and a plurality of fluid transport lines coupled to the flow path selection assembly suitable for transporting the first fluid, the second fluid and a sample to the mixing assembly. The flow path selection assembly is suitable for selecting a flow path for each of the first fluid introduction line and second fluid introduction lines and providing changeable coupling of each of the first fluid introduction line and second fluid introduction line to one of the plurality of fluid transport lines through the flow path selection assembly.
Abstract: The present invention is a non-removable closure. A non-removable closure in accordance with the present invention may comprise (a) a first sealant layer; (b) a sealant interface layer; and (c) a second sealant layer. A non-refillable container for flowable materials in accordance with the present invention may comprise: (a) a cap; (b) a first sealant layer; (c) a sealant interface layer; (d) a second sealant layer; and (e) a flowable material receptacle. A method for manufacturing a non-removable bottle closure in accordance with the present invention may comprise the steps: (a) disposing a first sealant layer on a first surface of a sealant interface layer; (b) disposing a second sealant layer on a second surface of the sealant interface layer; (c) adhering the first sealant layer to a cap; and (d) adhering the second sealant layer to a receptacle mouth.
