Abstract: Medical apparatus and processes controllably generate medically useful micro or nano bubbles of medically desirable and controllably selectable size, size distribution, homogeneity and concentration (and/or other key bubble parameters) for patient infusion, and/or which may incorporate therapeutic or other agents for patient infusion and/or may be combined with therapeutic or other agents prior to infusion into patients. The bubble generation apparatus and processes controllably permit the adjustment and selection of key bubble parameters through bubble generation actuation and orientation techniques and through selection of bubble fluid compositions in order to facilitate medical research and/or to optimize treatment for imaging, therapy, sonoporation, inertial and non-inertial cavitation, and acoustic activation, among other medical uses. Disposable cartridges containing such bubbles are provided and may include means for patient infusion.

Abstract: A hairbrush includes a control panel, an interior vibratory element for providing massage therapy and a plurality of LEDs carried by the brush head for providing light therapy at a preselected wavelength selected to be of benefit to the hair and/or scalp. In response to user control input mode selection, the light and massage multi-therapy hairbrush selectively provides phototherapy, massage therapy, and combined massage and phototherapies.

Abstract: A high cleaning efficiency room air cleaner with a slim profile providing a clean air delivery rate sufficient to clean any ordinary size room includes a flat-panel housing having an internal chamber sized to receive conventional large area flat-panel furnace filters of standard size and a fan array preferably of high efficiency, low power axial computer fans mounted to the flat-panel housing. The room air cleaner may include a scent cartridge and a UV lamp assembly.

Abstract: A portable, battery-powered UV sanitizer kills germs and bacteria on the mouthpieces of tethered mouthguards of a wide variety of tether sizes and configurations and on the mouthpieces of untethered mouthguards. It doubles as a protective case when not in antimicrobial use. It includes a dishwasher safe detachable tray. It may be used with other dental appliances.

Abstract: The disclosed electrostatic precipitator cartridge for a tower air cleaner in accord with the present invention is low-cost, because it is constructed of injected molded plastics material and stamped and extruded metal components. It is easy to clean, not only because it's constitutive metal parts and plastic components are machine washable but also because the cartridge as a whole is machine washable, the pieces and components are designed and arranged to prevent intracartridge fluid buildup or retention after washing, thereby eliminating any electrical shorting or arcing or other undesirable phenomena resulting therefrom that could interfere with the operation of the electrostatic filter cartridge.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an improved-customizability digital sound relaxation system having a sound card receiving port and a collectable sound card are cooperative to play prerecorded natural or other sounds by depressing one of a plurality of sound selector switches and a sound card selector switch. The new sounds of each collectable sound card customize the library of available sounds to individual taste. In another embodiment, an improved-flexibility digital sound relaxation system having at least two (2) prerecorded sounds stored at first and second memory locations of internal or external/internal memory devices may be selected and combined for concurrent and/or individual replay by depressing one of a plurality of sound selector switches and a combine switch, or by depressing one of a plurality of sound selector switches, a sound card selector switch and a combine switch.

Abstract: Garment refreshing hangers incorporate activated charcoal, a proven odor absorbing material, into the body of the hanger. Garments such as a jacket are hung on the hanger in the traditional manner. The garment areas susceptible to odor producing body areas like the neck and armpits are placed in close proximity to the activated charcoal in the hanger. The activated charcoal absorbs the odors thus removing them from the garment. Provision is made for charcoal replacement upon consumption. Preferably, the charcoal includes activated carbon impregnated porous sheet material.

Abstract: An air cleaner is described wherein an ion wind is generated by an ionizing element and directed to pass over a dust collector surface. By proper design and adjustment of the ionizing element and collector, the unit can be operated without emitting charged particles, if any, in other than the direction of orientation of the dust collector surface and thus avoiding smudging of the surrounding walls. The collector may be cylindrical in form and may be separately detachable, rendering it readily available for cleaning.

Abstract: A filter cartridge for a standalone point of use water purification device includes tandem first and second flow passageways containing flowthrough filter media that cooperate to provide opposing flow directions in the first and second flow passageways that reduce, if not eliminate, channeling, and provide self-wetting of the flowthrough filter media contained in the tandem first and second flow passageways, eliminating the need for post-use wetting steps.

Abstract: A tissue dispenser and method includes a weighted ring or plate or other single or multi-piece member which sits on top of a stack of interleaved tissues. The ring or plate or other member has an aperture, through which the tissues are dispensed. The weight of the ring or plate or other member applies constant pressure to the stack of tissues, causing enough friction between the tissues to pull the next one partially through the aperture into the ready position.
