  • Patent number: 7520275
Abstract: A gun preferably designed to rapidly fire paint balls includes a single valve assembly that is inserted into and removed from the gun body. The valve assembly includes a low pressure ram passing through a longitudinal center or core of the assembly, and is capable of being driven in opposite reciprocal directions. A volumizer stores a charge of high pressure gas sufficient to adequately propel a paint ball, and a high pressure poppet valve is driven by movement of the low pressure ram for releasing the charge rapidly. A bolt carried upon the low pressure ram moves a paint ball into firing position just prior to the high pressure discharge. All of the aforementioned components of the cartridge are carried upon a single axis defined by the ram. Means are provided to both align and couple the various components together to ensure proper operation at high firing rates.

  • Patent number: 7491120
Abstract: A trickle vent such as might be used in association with commercial windows is formed from PVC tubing in two convoluted paths. One or more expansion chambers are provided at turns or directional changes within the tubing which reduce or eliminate noise transmission through the vent. Where a plurality of expansion chambers are used, each chamber may be of different length to dampen a different portion of the acoustic spectrum. In a preferred embodiment, the expansion chambers are filled with an acoustic-type foam, and the ends are not completely sealed. The tubing preferably bridges two extrusions that form a supporting housing for the vent, and by using two separate extrusions bridged by the tubing, both thermal and acoustic isolation are maintained.

  • Patent number: 7448318
Abstract: A machining waste metal recycling machine has an in-feed hopper. The hopper uses paired augers to move the waste metal through the hopper to a cutting and transporting auger. The hopper augers are powered independently from each other, and may be individually reversed or reversed as a group to clear jams. In the event a jam is not cleared through one or more reversal cycles, the remaining augers may be operated to clear the hopper, thereby avoiding the need for manual unloading. Within the hopper are one or more shear bars that are provided to sever bunches or bundles of machining waste and thereby clear tangles which might otherwise jam the augers. The cutting and transporting augers ultimately feed a reciprocating compactor having a movable gate with one or more grooves for controlled drainage of machining oil and other liquid, as the machining waste metal is compressed into pellets.

  • Patent number: 7402145
Abstract: In combination, vertically percussive vibration and non-symmetrical forces are applied to a patient. The non-symmetrical forces may be generated by a variety of unevenly applied weights that are supported at appropriate body locations in a manner that upsets normal body load symmetry. The non-symmetrical forces in combination with vertically percussive vibrations induce neuromusculoskeletal proprioceptive re-education and development within a living body to correct musculo-skeletal disorders including but not limited to scoliosis. A special posture modifying chair and head-orienting glasses may be used instead of or in addition to unevenly applied weights. An additional force concentrating treatment apparatus is also presented.
