Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for mixing paint disposed in either a conventional one gallon paint container or a square paint container having a body with a handle passage extending therethrough. The apparatus includes a square bucket for holding the container. A rocker is pivotably mounted to a side wall of the bucket and includes a pair of heads aligned over a pair of openings in the side wall. A floor of the bucket has a plurality of support structures extending upwardly therefrom. When the conventional one gallon paint container is disposed in the bucket, the container rests on the floor, the vertical axis of the container is offset from the central axis of the bucket, and both heads of the rocker are disposed against the container inside the bucket.

  • Patent number: 7528190
Abstract: The present invention provides for a sealer/primer that is generally cured at low bake temperatures. The composition utilizes a resin system to provide both conductivity and adhesion of the coating onto plastic substrates. The present invention uses a polyester, such as one that includes unsaturated polyester, in combination with other resins, including an acrylic, crosslinking agent and conductive pigment to create a conductive primer that can be cured at low temperatures. The composition can be applied through traditional application equipment, seals the surface of the substrate to which it is applied, and cures to an acceptable surface for further processing, such as painting.

  • Patent number: 7399111
Abstract: Apparatus and method for mixing a fluid dispersion disposed in a container. The apparatus includes a table upon which the container may be disposed. A clamp assembly is disposed above the table so as to define a holding space therebetween. The clamp assembly is movable between an uppermost position and a lowermost position, wherein when the clamp assembly is in the uppermost position, the holding space has a maximum height and when the clamp assembly is in the lowermost position, the holding space has a minimum height. At least one blocking structure is disposed between the table and the clamp assembly to limit the downward movement of the clamp assembly and thereby establish the lowermost position of the clamp assembly, wherein the blocking structure is positioned to provide that the minimum height of the holding space is at least 30% of the maximum height of the holding space.

  • Patent number: 6874201
Abstract: A tool extension assembly including an extension pole connected to a connecting device and a tool assembly having a handle with an insert secured therein. A transversely-extending pin is movably mounted to the connecting device and is biased by a spring. The insert has a cylindrical side wall with an interior surface that defines an interior bore and interior edges that define a pair of opposing slots. The slots extend axially and circumferentially along the side wall. The connecting device is receivable in the bore of the insert such that when end portions of the pin are disposed in the slots and the handle is rotated in a first direction, the interior edges of the insert move the pin against the bias of the spring until the pin reaches end portions of the slots, at which point the pin exerts a force against the interior edges of the insert that pulls the tool assembly and the extension pole assembly together.
