    Abstract: A container is carried by a timing screw while a transfer drum is rotated. Ink is transferred by a first imprint roll on a first fixed transfer surface member for printing a shoulder portion of the container and a second fixed transfer surface member for printing a barrel portion of the container. Ink is transferred by a second imprint roll on a movable transfer surface member, and after printing on the shoulder portion, the barrel portion and a constricted portion of the container, which is inserted between a guide member and a transfer roll and moved while rotating, residual inks on the fixed transfer surface member for the shoulder portion, the fixed transfer surface member for the barrel portion, and the movable transfer surface member are removed by a cleaning roll.

    Abstract: An electric cable guiding device includes a fixed guide block and a movable guide block. A projected round surface is formed in the fixed guide block, and an indented round surface is formed in the movable guide block. In addition, a groove is formed in the indented round surface. At the time of guiding an electric cable, the movable guide block is fitted in the fixed guide block. In this state, the indented round surface and the groove constitute an electric cable guide path. The electric cable is fed into the electric cable guide path by rollers. Consequently, the electric cable is guided in a U shape along the electric cable guide path. The front end of the electric cable drawn out of the electric cable guide path is clamped. Thereafter, the movable guide block is moved to an electric cable measuring position that is spaced apart from the fixed guide block by a predetermined distance. In this state, the electric cable is fed by a required length.

    Abstract: The present invention is related to the synthesis of a novel photochromic compound. This compound is a reactive photochromic spirooxazine pigment. Its structure is shown as below: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is either a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms. R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are any of the following group: an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or an alkyoxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, or halogen atoms, or hydrogen atoms. The range of n is from 1 to 4, which represents the number of repeated units. This synthesized compound possesses a high thermal resistant property up to 241.degree. C., and it may be added into low melting polyethylene terephthalate(PET) resins for direct melt spinning to prepare photochromic fiber. In addition, the reactive double bond of this compound can be copolymerized with other vinyl monomers, to prepare high molecular weight photochromic materials used for photochromic eye glasses and/or photochromic coating.

    Abstract: An automatic tool changer in a machining center includes a reducer, a compound cam, a cylindric cam, a four-bar mechanism, an elliptic trammel mechanism, and a tool changer device. The compound cam and the cylindric cam are driven by a motor after speed reduction through a belt and gear train. The compound cam which is composed of a roller gear cam and a face cam performs the tool change motions. During the tool change motions, the cylindric cam drives the follower which is fixed on the slider of the elliptic trammel mechanism to make the other slider push the pull bar which produces the pushing and pulling tool motions in the spindle head. By way of using this design, the tool change time is largely reduced, the tool change motions are smoother, and the cost is less expensive than the previous designs.

Further, the configuration of the circular protrusion prevents the sprayed fuel from scattering towards the cylinder wall.

    Abstract: In a management system in which a plurality of copiers are managed by a host computer, each copier is provided with a device that is connected to the host computer so as to manage the copier. The device can be initialized from the copier without advance registration in the host computer. To achieve this, when a serviceperson, having set up the copier, enters a registration code and executes initialization, the device communicates with the host computer and transmits thereto an initialization report. On receiving the initialization report, the host computer creates a database, and subsequently sets the device using predetermined values in the database and assigns thereto a copier ID number. When communication has been completed without errors, the device returns the copier ID number to the copier. To register the copier, an operator of the host computer opens a screen of a list of non-registered pieces of equipment to be managed in order to select and register the corresponding copier on that screen.

    Abstract: The adhesive strength and hardness of chromium nitride(CrN) film deposited on SKD 61 tool steel was significantly enhanced by a nitriding process on the surface the tool steel before coating with a CrN film. These nitriding processes included nitrocarburing, gas nitriding, and plasma nitriding, respectively. After nitriding, the surface of tool steel was repolishing with grits #600, #1000, #1800 of SiC grinding paper, as well as #1000 grinding paper and diamond paste, respectively. After repolishing, the CrN film was deposited by the cathodic arc ion plating deposition process at low temperatre of 200.degree. C. The present invention was related to the process modification for enhancing the adhesive strength and surface hardness of CrN film deposited on tool steels. This method included a nitriding process and a repolishing followed by the cathodic arc ion plating deposition.

    Abstract: Image data generated by a reading section to perform copying is outputted to a recording section and, when a facsimile communication is received during such copying, received image data is temporarily stored in an image memory. Meanwhile, an amount of the received image data stored in the image memory is monitored so that, when free capacity of the image memory becomes less than a permitted level, copying is interrupted and operation for copying is switched to operation for outputting the received image data in the image memory through the recording section. Thus, a certain amount of capacity is always available in the image memory and vicarious reception errors due to a memory overflow during copying is eliminated. When the received image data in the image memory has been printed out by the recording section to such an extent that the free capacity in the image memory becomes sufficient again, the interrupted copying is restarted. Thus, copying can be performed without unnecessary delay.

Thus, when the deceleration of the preceding vehicle is small, the warning is not issued until the inter-vehicle distance becomes small, whereby the driver's intention can be reflected on the drive assist system.

The final videocassette position value can be also calculated at the left and the right edges of the envelope data. Therefore, high quality sound and picture can be recorded and reproduced since a final videocassette position value varies in accordance with recording states of video and audio signals.
